Usually, what sticks in my memory about a game is the overall vibe it gave me or a specific moment, like when my dad would excitedly buy a pirated disc because he really liked the fake cover art But the only thing I remember about this game is the lousy relationship I had with my younger brother. I don't like my brother or the person he’s turned into; I honestly can't recall if I always felt this way about him or not. All I remember is this game and the times we used to drive our mother crazy, just like any other kids our age. This game was one of the few things that made me forget the tension and bad feelings I harboured toward my brother the only thing that mattered was exploring and enjoying our time in a strange new world Now that it’s been several months since I’ve had any contact with my family, this game gives me an even stranger feeling For me, this is more than just nostalgia And I’m definitely going to make my loved one play it

This is one of those games that you purchase because it was on sale (maybe it piqued your interest) and you don't play it for a couple of years. Then, when you finally do get around to playing it, you realize that you had slept on one of the greatest franchises that, sadly, no one knows about. If you see this review and you like platformers, just buy this and don't think about it. As much as I love this franchise and the games in this bundle, I can't recommend buying it at full price, I 100%'d it (steam achievements) in only 24 hours. Additionally, charging 40 bones for this should entail the official translation of moonlight museum and all of the other spin offs. What about those games Namco?? If you do decide to buy this, which you should, beware that there will probably never be another Klonoa game ever again... for one of the greatest franchises no one knows about. These games were made with the intention of telling a story and the first game, door to phantomile, has a phenomenal twist at the end which I truly did not see coming. The second game however... not as wild of a story, but I found the gameplay and the world building to be super fun, I wouldn't say that its a unique style of gameplay, but its just a great puzzle platformer. I am a huge fan of this franchise and it physically PAINS me that there will most likely never be another Klonoa because Namco doesn't care about making games anymore.

sometimes when i think of the days when i was active in this series's fandom i feel a shiver coming down my spine very good games tho, will never stop reccomending it (played it a lot more on switch tho)

Amazing platformers, although the remakes are kinda a downgrade to the original games I recommend emulating the original ps1 and ps2 releases

Klonoa 1 - Klonoa's design is perfect. Recognizable, cute, and just the right amount of animal-like. Admittedly, the eyes are doing a lot of the work. The soundtrack is ethereal mid 90s goodness. The second half of the story is a live hand grenade thrown at the people who completed the first half. It's amazing how much the level designer was able to squeeze out of one relatively simple attack. With that said, you could feel him running out of ideas near the end, and the last world especially is a lot of Kaizo Mario lite nonsense. Klonoa has his dogs out in the game intro. Klonoa 2 - They turned Klonoa into a Sonic OC (horrifying). The big twist of the first game is soft retconned to justify having a sequel. It still happened, but it was kind of pointless. Klonoa has no personal stake in this one like he did in the last game. He's basically only helping out because he was asked nicely. The game sort of has that 2000s "niche game on the Nintendo Wii" look. The soundtrack is generally a lot weaker than the first game. Honestly, I couldn't bring myself to finish it. Lolo is cute. That mole thing she keeps with her is annoying, though. Recommended mainly because it goes on sale for very cheap. Or you can just grab these games for free from whatever site is currently hosting No-Intro game dumps. I personally hate setting up PS1 games.

如果你不怕有点难度可以趁着打折买试试，但是如果是休闲玩家全收集并不建议，游戏中好多地方像是巴不得你死一样，落脚点窄，追逐战速度赶，偶尔摸不着头脑的解密，前置没做卡你进度的等等，真这样还不如直接给我弄死，而不是半死不活的折磨

The first game gets stuck on a black screen when I try to launch it from the main menu. All of my playtime was spent debugging the game rather than actually playing it. The second game seemed to make it to the loading screen, but it sucks that I can't play the first game first. I can't even get a refund because I didn't realize I'd spent so much time trying to fix the game, so now I'm stuck with a game that I can't even load.
