This game sucks so bad now. I used to be an awesome game. Damage system is crap. A single light mech can engage 2 assaults kill them both and walk away. Game after game of 0-12 or 12-0, Since the last patch I have not gotten over 400 damage from any of my mechs. Their ant pile is getting smaller and to me it seems they are trying to drive the game off a cliff at a dead run. If I didn't have almost 13k hours and over 45k games I would quit it. But it is like being in a toxic relationship. I don't remember how long ago it was, but there was a week in Sept a few years back where the made quick play drop with 8 instead of 12, ever since that week, the game has gone downhill, this last whatever the did has really taken the fun away from the game.

i love the game, I have played at least 1 game from every gen starting with mechwarrior 2. so i can deal with funky game play, honestly the game play is decent overall .... if you don't mind at least 1 disconnect per match. having the server drop you and then getting a penalty for none participation. then you may be able to enjoy the game. i have over 4 k hours in game only 3.8k with the steam launcher. you can use the piranha launcher or steam issues will occur. the players are either the coolest dads or the most unbearable pedantic autistic guy that is explaining to other autistic guys why his strat is better than the standard potato tornado, and that he alone understands how the game works. I've been him myself so it happens. the worse part about the game is you can feel the team working on it shrinking and its resources drying up. i will be sad when the game dies I've played over 2 years worth of full 40 hour weeks if you break down the hours. i love the game it just may be too small to ever get stable reliable servers, matches that dont drop a minimum of 2 out of 24 and actually have new content not just new mechs. heck we have lost several game modes with nothing interesting or different taking its place. in very long wahhh wahh my fave game is dying and starting down the unplayable spiral.

Ублюдочная игра. Тебя развлекают и завлекают кучей бонусов для новичка и в первое время тебе даже нравится. Однако чем больше ты играешь тем больше ты понимаешь что игра занятая потными вонючими задротами у которых нет больше развлечений кроме как игры в эту парашу. Ты ожидаешь что что-то хорошее случится в ближайшем матче - но ♥♥♥♥♥ хорошего не происходит. Твоя команда безбожно сосет в в 90% случаев, а когда она это не делает, то все равно к этому стремится Тебе кажется что стоит тебе постараться получше и все получится, но это ♥♥♥♥♥ не так. Командах по 12 долбоебов и ты, ♥♥♥♥, один из них если еще не снес эту парашу через 2-3 часа игры. В игре нет античита В игре нет подбора соперников по уровню скилла В каждом бою как в бочке перемешивают деготь и говно, без меда, и дают тебе это все пожрать. В игре интерфейс не просто не дружелюбный, он атакует тебя как только ты заходишь в эту игру. Сейчас из РФ не поиграть из-за блокировки серверов, но с ВПН можно, однако не дай бог тебе словить хоть раз дисконнект. Эта полудохная залупа под названием игра накинет на тебя штрафных санкций в виде запрета выхода в бой так как "извини ты съебался из боя до его окончания, ты наказан и нам ♥♥♥♥♥ на твои проблемы, кстати купи прем" Не тратьте время на эту парашу.

Despite my limited specs and my interest stemming from summers long gone watching my father play some of the other mech warriors from years past, this game has brought me fully into the space. The fact that I can work for nearly every single paywalled item with time and events feels rewarding in itself. The dev team cares about player feedback and will push out emergency updates if the community speaks out. Mechs no one has thought about in awhile will get a modernization update to their quirks (extra stats) to bring them in line with what the players are rocking with lately. The comp play isn't forced down anyone's throat, and has actual support from player groups and devs alike. This game came out in 2013(?) and still sees monthly updates that add meaningful content. If you want to shoot robots at all hours of the day or night, this is a fantastic game for you. If you wish to get lost in another relic of tabletop turned video game, you wish to find a whole other group of nerds you didn't know about, if you wish to sink hours into a customization that feels freeing to play in. This is your game. Download this. Play the tutorial. It's a free game from 2013. You have nothing to lose and a universe awaiting.

A nostalgia trip for sure. It all started when I was rummaging around and found MechCommander Gold demo disk, and was instantly hooked. Once we got a new PC, mucked around with MechCommander 2. Sadly, forgot about the series entirely until a few years ago when I stumbled upon this gem. It's a shame it's a dying game, but still quite fun nonetheless whenever matchmaking doesn't screw me over. It's got its pains and quirks but it's still a blast to play and a nice trip down memory lane.
