Lazy collection which is basically just a bunch of emulated ROMs. X1-3 has some horrible input delay in this version that caused me to get multiple frustrating game overs at segments where precise platforming is needed. You used to be able to mod it to have the best experience with the relocalization hacks for X1-3 but Crapcom in its infinite wisdom decided to completely cull and cripple modding by making it impossible to modify the EXE. Some say they've managed to get an X4 undub mod working but I cant get it to work from my end. The base collection version of X4 is missing its iconic japanese opening song. Amazing games I wholeheartedly recommend, but not through this half-assed collection. EDIT: I did manage to get the X4 undub mod working, but that still doesn't take away the issues with the rest of the games. Only making one of the four games included truly enjoyable to play through only by using mods is still pretty bad.

that's so Sigma jokes aside, here's my opinion about each X game (for this collection). X1: an almost perfect Megaman game. The only thing that holds it back from being perfect for me is the difficulty spike but it's still one of the best SNES games. X2: it's a perfect sequel and has one of my favorite Sigma boss fights (after X4). The only problem I have with this game is the story that feels like it was made as an excuse to revive Zero, but I guess Sonic did the same with Shadow after SA 2 so I'm not complaining much. X3: the weakest game in this collection imo, it's NOT bad by any means but I just like the other games of this collection way more. X4: if you can ignore the goofy aah english voice acting (which completely ruins the vibe of the story for me) then it's one of the best Megaman games ever. It has a fun challenge, great bosses and a great story, and also the game I played the most in this collection. Collection 2 has the weakest X games of the series but I HAVE to roast X7 and X6 eventually so I'll probably sacrifice my money for that too, just not now.

I think Classic Mega Man completely beats the X games, mostly cause you cant make that interesting levels with how zoomed in everything is. While classic is more a platformer, this is more into fighting. Still good games tho

X4 on here has no problems and you can download an undub patch for this version too but X1-X3 have pretty terrible input delay and an incorrect aspect ratio so you're better off playing them literally anywhere else

The original Rockman collections are good. But the X collections, do not buy. GO play on simulators. In 2026, they still hardcoded movement keys and never intend to update it. If you playing on a keyboard, you cannot change movement keys to wasd. Yes, I can remap by myself. But if Capcom can do it in the original collections, they cannot do it in the X collections. Apparently different teams handle this, and I do not see the passions like the original collections they present to me.

Este juego lo hizo un zurdo porque no hay forma "accidental" de que esto haya salido como es. Me explico; Este juego carece de un montón de cosas de calidad BÁSICAS para una colección, como consumidor me siento estafado, pues veo el catalogo de colecciones que han hecho y pienso "quizás no sean perfectas ni fieles pero con lo que debería tener una colección basta" NO, es un error pensar de esa forma. Ya que esta BASURA está hecha a mala gana a propósito, como tal no hay configuración de controles, save slots, guardado instantáneo ni fast forward si quieres adelantar una cut-scene. Lo que me enoja es lo siguiente; Las "configuraciones" de teclas son un insulto al consumidor, no solo la opción más importante NO la colocas EN EL MENÚ PRINCIPAL, ni donde el juego dice "menú de juego" que pensarías que es donde está el título, no, ni esta cuando entras al menú con la rom iniciada, no, esta en la misma rom en la pantalla de título, yo desconocía esto y tuve que perder tiempo por eso. Para añadir sal en la herida no puedes configurar las teclas de movimiento, solo lo que el juego quiere, no es broma, porque por alguna razón solo puedes cambiar las teclas A,S,D,Z,X,C,SPACE,ESC y ya, ninguna otra, teclas como E,G,F,O,P y demás no responden, pero esas son teclas de acción más no de movimiento y lo que arde pero ARDE DE ESTA MRD es el hecho de que, las teclas numéricas, las flechas y las jodidas I,J,K,L son para movimiento, no se pueden cambiar pero las 3 funcionan a la par. Por lo tanto no hay forma de que W,A,S,D funcionen como se debe. Mejor escupan me a la siguiente y ni de pedo me compro otra porquería de colección.

the game is good, there are framedrops in some areas or when there are too many things in the original but i think it was the same in the ps2 collection, it runs perfect on the steam deck BUT for some reason the fans go hot and the baterry consumes a little fast it doesnt make sense for games made in 1993-1995 like at all even for megaman x or x2 maybe the optimization is awful or something else its hapenning on the background.

Yo no entiendo como una compilación de juegos de hace mil años tiene input lag y a veces se traba como si fuera la consola original xD X1-X3 son horribles de jugar en esta versión. X4 no lo he probado pero carajo es una experiencia que no recomiendo en absoluto
