Build me an army worthy of Mordor... If you haven't played this 2017 game yet, it is the best thing I've ever played in my entire life. Words alone can not express my pure love for how awesome this game is. If you see any negative comment talking about microtransactions, they are outdated, the microtransactions were removed.

One day, the nemesis system will be free from warner bros clutches, and i will still be sad because monolith wont be there to make use of it (This game is awesome btw)

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣠⣤⣶⣶⣶⣶⣄⠀⢠⣄ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣠⣾⣿⣿⡿⠛⢻⣿⣿⣿⠀⢀⣿⣿⣦⡀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣠⣴⣿⣿⣿⠋⠉⠁⠀⣸⣿⣿⡏⠀⢸⣿⣿⣿⣷⡄ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣾⣿⣿⠋⠁⠉⠀⣰⣶⣾⣿⡿⠟⠀⢠⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡄ ⠀⠀⠀⣴⣿⣿⠟⠛⠀⠀⣿⣿⣿⡿⠛⠉⠀⠀⢠⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇ ⠀⢀⣾⣿⣿⠿⠀⠀⣶⣾⣿⡿⠋⠀⠀⠀⠀⣰⣿⣿⡟⠉⢻⣿⣿⣿⠇ ⠀⣾⣿⡏⠀⢀⣀⣴⣿⡿⠋⠀⠀⠀⠀⣠⣾⣿⣿⠋⠁⠀⢀⣿⣿⡟ ⢸⣿⣿⣧⣀⣼⣿⣿⡟⠁⠀⠀⠀⣠⣾⣿⣿⠛⠛⠀⠀⣾⣿⣿⡟ ⠸⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⠏⠀⠀⢀⣠⣾⣿⡿⠿⠿⠀⢠⣤⣾⣿⣿⠟ ⠀⠈⠉⠉⠁⠀⢀⣀⣤⣾⣿⣿⠿⠿⠃⠀⣀⣠⣾⣿⣿⡿⠃ ⠀⠳⣶⣶⣶⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣏⠀⢀⣀⣠⣿⣿⣿⡿⠋ ⠀⠀⠙⢿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣶⣾⣿⣿⣿⠟⠁ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠙⠻⢿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠿⠛⠉ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⠉⠉⠉⠁

As long as I have breath in my body...". Sensacional!! Jogo feito com imenso carinho.

The Nemesis mechanic is fun, but the speeches can take too long sometimes. The movement can feel a bit buggy, but overall, it’s a fun game.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War takes what Shadow of Mordor established and expands almost every part of it. The combat has more abilities, more tools and more ways to approach encounters, while the Nemesis system and the army mechanics give the game a much larger scope. The first game already had a strong foundation, but Shadow of War feels like a real evolution rather than simply more of the same. The larger world also makes more sense after playing the first game. Shadow of Mordor was much smaller, with only two maps and a considerably shorter campaign, while Shadow of War spreads its systems across several regions and gives the player much more to do. The repetition is obvious, especially when taking over fortresses and repeating the same general cycle, but this structure works because the game constantly gives you reasons to keep building and managing your army. Even the towers were changed into small lookout challenges where you have to align the cursor with the objective to reveal the surrounding collectibles, which is a simple but fun improvement over the first game's system. Where Shadow of War falls short is in the management of the systems it introduces. The game gives you an entire army of Orcs, Captains, Warchiefs and Overlords, but still expects the player to manage almost everything manually. There should be more ways for your own Orcs to interact with the enemy without the player doing everything personally. After taking control of a fortress, for example, the region should feel like your army is actually fighting for it. Allied Orcs could ambush enemy Captains, capture or convert them, defend areas and create conflicts throughout the map. Instead, outside the main objectives, the world often feels surprisingly static for a game built around having an army. The same problem appears in Orc management. When you start with a level 20 Orc and later reach areas where your enemies are level 30 or 40, those older Orcs quickly become less useful. The game gives you ways to level them up, but having to do it individually becomes unnecessarily tedious. There is no proper large-scale management system that lets you filter Orcs by class, role or level and manage the army efficiently. The Overlord system also feels underused because the player still has to personally deal with so much of what happens in each fortress. The bodyguard system is another missed opportunity. A selected bodyguard should feel like an actual companion who follows Talion through the world instead of simply being another unit stored inside the fortress system. The game already demonstrates that Orcs can follow and assist Talion in certain missions, so expanding that into a permanent companion system would have made the relationship between Talion and his army feel much more meaningful. There are also smaller accessibility problems that become more noticeable because the game is so large. Loot dropped by Captains and other enemies has to be manually picked up, complete with an animation, and it can become annoying when enemies are still attacking you. Items can even disappear if a cutscene starts before you collect them. These are not problems that break the game, but they are examples of how the management and quality-of-life systems did not evolve as much as the rest of the game. The combat itself remains one of the strongest parts. It is fast, dynamic and gives Talion far more options than in Shadow of Mordor. The second game communicates better with the player through its abilities and systems, and the larger number of tools makes encounters more flexible. It is not particularly difficult on its own, even on Nemesis difficulty, but the combat has enough depth to remain enjoyable while dealing with the much larger amount of content. The biggest reason I am giving Shadow of War an 8/10 is that the foundation is genuinely strong. The problems I found are mostly systems that should have been expanded further, especially around army management, world interaction and quality of life. They do not fundamentally damage the experience, but they become obvious because the game itself gives you such a large-scale system and then does not provide enough tools to properly manage it. Compared with Shadow of Mordor, however, there is a concrete evolution across almost every major aspect, and that makes Shadow of War a much more complete experience.
