My review is based on the online multiplayer experience. Single-player is okay, although it's missing some good classics like MORTAL KOMBAT ARMAGEDDON. Multiplayer is... garbage. I mean, most of the people there are grown adults, yet they rage-quit more than kids in modern fighting games. It's insane. On top of that, there are constant crashes. I believe they started after the last patch, which was released quite a long time ago. They gave us CROSSPLAY, which is okay, but something clearly broke while they were developing it. Before that, everything was working properly. Now, the game loves to randomly crash during online multiplayer. Sometimes it crashes your game, sometimes it just crashes the lobby, and sometimes it literally moves you to another room. LOL. You never know what you're going to get! As for the rage-quitters, that's a hard problem to fix since this is a P2P game, so it's more of a community issue than a developer issue. However, the constant crashes in online multiplayer are definitely a developer-side problem. Because of the rage-quitters and, especially, the constant crashes during online multiplayer, I unfortunately have to give this game a negative review.

disappointing ------------------ Especially the lack of deadly alliance and a few other games at fullhd, uhd sucks. I very much wanted to try MKDA at fullHD without needing to buy a PS2/DVD, my cousin told me it was a great game. pros -------- movelist included like in modern games arcade editions when available have slightly better graphics remoteplay together replay value conclusion:- Can be helluva fun to play with a friend, might get bored to play solo

It's a great collection, it hits right in the member berries. There's no input lag, if that was a thing at launch it's not here now, this is the best version to get, vs the console versions that apparently still have input lag. MK4 arcade version is the best version as it has higher poly character models than the pc port and can run at 4x resolution, yes no Goro like the pc port, but hey. Arguably the only negative here is no MK Gold, the only noteable omission. Mk mythologies and special forces aren't as bad as you were led to believe either, they have flaws but now you can load/save/rewind at least (as you can with every game here). MK trilogy rules. UMK3 always great, same for MK2 and it's a curiostiy to compare the console ports. Yes we don't really need the game boy ports, except as a curiostiy. The documentary and behind the scenes stuff is amazing, very informative. Recommeded.

Collection great and these games are fun, love on-screen specials and combos, but online could be a lot better. Would like a queue system like MvC collection where I can play arcade/training while looking for a match.

The old bad reviews for this game seem to be outdated now. The game allows for a lot of customization for the controller and keyboard inputs. The game also runs pretty well, and I appreciate the complex settings that exist, from having infinite time to do fatalities, to changing the difficulty of the computer, to even unlocking the secret fights if you don't want to wait for all the stars to align. I enjoy this deeply and it reminds me of the MK arcade machine my friend used to own. Runs just as well, except this can display the combos and controls on the side of the screen. 10/10 would recommend for MK fans. Achievement grinding is also pretty good for this game, its just hard killing Noob Saibot in MK 3 but that might just be a skill issue on my part.

If you didn´t play the original MK games then you need to remove every idea of modern Mortal Kombat from your head because this is brutal gameplay. The old MK games have extremely unfair AI especially in the arcade versions, so if you manage to beat the arcade version then congrats! You are officially a Mortal Kombat champion.
