I wanted to like this game but i just simply can't bare it anymore. Ninja Gaiden 4 is absolutely by no means, a good Ninja Gaiden entry. This game is more of a fusion between Devil May Cry and Metal Gear Rising with the latter being more heavily emphasized with its Cyber / Futuristic Atmosphere, music and combat. It rarely retains anything from the Ninja Gaiden saga at all besides the obvious dismemberment, light combat elements (like izuna drop, reverse swallow, counters, Annihilation techniques , dodging, charge attacks, etc) , parkour and the upgrade system. Its basically a hazy possibility of a Metal Gear Rising sequel with almost the same gimmicks from it as well (except it actually has a block button unlike MGR) such as the "Homing Melee" (Aka the auto targeting onto nearby enemies while you attack), sliding and "Jack the Ripper Mode"/ Devil Trigger from Devil May Cry (In this game its BloodRaven / Gleam Form). I do appreciate more abilities like parrying and the BloodRaven forms but the gameplay itself is just a copy of Razor's Edge yet somehow even worse with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ enemy design, really dumb side quests that really have no sense in being in the game since side quests never existed in Ninja Gaiden, horrendous camera angles that break upon certain rooms and enemy encounters, and of course, the biggest offender, giving Ryu rarely the respect he deserves. He doesn't even get another weapon while Yakumo has 6. (Yes I know the DLC exist. It still doesn't matter since Yakumo still has more than Ryu). Remember how in Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2, you could spin the joystick around to do area of effect moves to get people off your ass ? Remember how you could wiggle the control stick to escape grabs ? Remember how you could do various other grabs and special moves with different inputs if you maxed out your weapon ? Remember how you could play as Rachel, Ayane and Momiji in Ninja Gaiden 2 ? Remember how there were Ninja Trails and other cool modes to try ? Well guess what, they threw out all that neat stuff out the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ window and instead decided to spray piss yellow paint everywhere like someone's bladder exploded, telling you where to go as if you don't have eyeballs and some form of logical thought. Let's not forget adding massive amounts of enemies that constantly parry, have super armor or just flat out bombard you with ranged explosives either in the air or on high elevation you can barely reach. The only positive I can give are the bosses and the weapons of this game which are entirely fun and of course being able to play as Ryu and see the healing journey he gives Sayori so she has the courage to stand up and live once more. Now lets talk about the story Yakumo is, hands down, the worst Ninja Gaiden protagonist ever. Hell, he is probably the worst Ninja Gaiden character of all time. He is a combination of Vergil and Raiden but if all he did was just stand around like a bumbling baboon half the time, ♥♥♥♥♥ about the Hayabusa clan, have extreme envy and malice towards Ryu and just be a ♥♥♥♥ to his fellow Raven Ninja for no reason or just anyone. Hell, he even treats Tyran, his own master like ♥♥♥♥. Ayane tries to give him a warning towards the second half of the game about pursuing the dark dragon seals and the suffering it could bring to the people Neo Tokyo and Yakumo just barks in the most bitter tone when only just meeting her ,"♥♥♥♥ off". He has no personality whatsoever. No soul, No aspirations, No thoughts.., You know virtually NOTHING about him other than him being some mercenary ninja working for various people on the dark web for cash. And somehow you want me to believe this dumbass is able to kill the dark dragon permanently ? Matter of fact: didnt Ryu already KILL the dark dragon ? Why is it back ? Wasn't the dark dragon blade destroyed by ryu with the true dragon sword at the end of Ninja Gaiden 1 ? Where the ♥♥♥♥ did you get another dark dragon blade from ? This entire game has what i like to call "Anti-Hayabua propaganda". Every single time a conversation is sparked with yakumo, it always circulates back to "I hate Ryu haybusa", "I hate the hayabua clan." And its not even reasonable like the black spider clan in other games. Aren't the raven and hayabusa clans on the same side ? Dont they save the world together ? Whats the point of pitting these two factions against one another when you both try to maintain order and peace for humanity's sake ? You're both heroes and humanity's ninja saviors, so whats with the unnecessary envy ? And thats not even touching upon how Ryu is absolutely watered down in this game. The DDO is a security organization that Ryu personally backs to ensure the safety of the world and the citizens of Neo Tokyo after the supposed "catastrophic resurrection of the dark dragon:". With its the defeat at Ryu's hands (again) the aftermath with its sealing resulted in its husk leaving neo tokyo with malicious acidic rain and blood thirsty fiends in wake. Yet somehow, Yakumo thinks killing DDO personnel and fatally wounding Captain Kagachi is warranted because he thought unsealing the dark dragon and unleashing the apocalypse...which endangers EVERYONE currently in Neo Tokyo is a good idea ? And the "people's" complaints about the DDO are that "they strictly tell them they can't go to the most miasma and fiend riddles parts of neo tokyo, for their own safety" so that automatically makes them the bad guys ? And Ryu just lets this happen? He doesnt spring into action, trying to immediately stop Yakumo from his bloody rampage ? Neither Yakumo nor Sayori thought to discuss things with Ryu Hayabusa and Kagachi to somehow evacuate the citizens of Neo Tokyo and formulate a plan to destroy the dark dragon together? The main villain, Achilles is the most predictable antagonist ever and doesn't even have proper build up for his entrance. Somehow Yakumo loves Sayori ONLY after she dies when they barely spent anytime together or opened up to one another ? Seriously, Who wrote this steaming piece of incorrigible, unsanitary, biohazard, grotesque ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ? This makes Razor's Edge story so much more enjoyable by comparison even by its gameplay. JEEZ ! I have to play the DLC to see what it's like but I will do a follow up review on that, once i'm finished with it. This is a good game on its own but its a horrible Ninja Gaiden game. But if this is where Platinum games is sailing with Ninja Gaiden 4 and the future of the series, I'm getting off this damn ship. I have never been so insulted by a company that absolutely disrespects real ninja gaiden fans and the IP as a whole. The butchering and humiliation of legacy characters, the god awful enemy design, the really dumb and contradictory writing, the gutting of content that was in previous installations. The absolute audacity to charge 80 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dollars never ceases to amaze me how greedy one can be while giving the bare minimum. Do yourself a favor and play the other Ninja Gaiden Titles. Play the NES/SNES ones, Play the originals / Ninja Gaiden Collection titles, Play Ninja Gaiden Ragebound. Only get this game on a deep discount.

クリアしてからもアンインストールせずにずっとライブラリに入ってます。 それぐらい気にってるゲームです。 最初は結構難しく感じますが慣れてきて思い通りに動かせてスタイリッシュに敵を惨殺するのは最高に爽快です。 ただ一部の方も言われてるますがロックオン機能がいまいちだと感じる場面はありました。 それとレールアクションといいますかあれはあんなにいらなかっと思います。 個人的にはレールアクションが一番の不満点です。 ですがこれらの不満点をかき消すぐらいアクションが気持ちよくかっこよかったです。 ソウルライクと毛色が違いますがこちらの作品も高難易度に感じる人もいるかもしれませんが難易度も選べますしアクションゲームが好きなら一度は触ってみてはどうでしょうか。

первый слешер, который прошёл. очень понравилась игра, буду ещё на нг+ проходить, чего не скажу про длс. длс по уровню ущербности где-то на уровне эпизода аегис в персоне 3 релоад, где сюжет вроде бы и прикольный, но его ♥♥♥♥♥ нет, зато ♥♥♥♥♥ гринда с поломанным балансом. тут тоже самое. но если отбросить длс - то тут отличный стиль, хороший темп игры, простенький сюжет(но в принципе норм), отличный геймплей. с приёмами было интересно разбираться и прям приятно было чему-то научиться и какие-то комбо делать). ну и музыка просто 11/10. на пк игралось замечательно. поставил в характеристиках именно деку, ибо я одну треть или половину игры на деке прошёл с fsr4 на балансе в 45 кадров. остальное проходил на основном пк - никс ос, 5700х3д и 7800хт. стабильно 100 кадров, к картинке вопросов нету. игру рекомендую прям, годнота

Game is fun as hell but can cause you some insane anger issues aswell. Despite the fact that I almost broke my controller I still believe that NG4 is worth it and reccomend it.

Extremely fun. Only downside was you play as Ryu a bit late in the main story. Still a peak game and a must play.
