The game is great, last time I played was 10/02/2024 and I felt like revisiting it (finally get around to my second playthrough) but checked the store page beforehand (after noticing Capcom adding DRM to older game) just to find out they added Enigma DRM to a single player game that is a remaster of a 25 year old game. Edit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0TTbdff_vE → there are more reasons other than performance issues as to why adding DRM retroactively is a bad practice (video by Digital Foundry on when Capcom added Enigma to RE4R).

Pro: It's very short game lol (play time 3:33 with max dark floors and max hp upgrades etc) Con: I wish devs that remaster their old games WOULD ADD AN OPTION TO SKIP CUTSCENES.

Played this game in preparation for the upcoming new one, and this game has still held up remarkably well. It's a shorter game, 3-4 hours, but the combat and level design still hold up well. This was originally supposed to be an Resident Evil game and you can tell, from the camera angles, puzzles, atmosphere and more. For $10, I can recommend this to anyone with a fondness for PS2-era games or those curious about the series origins.

Short which is kind of a positive these days. The infamous water puzzle is a bit annoying but beyond that the game's a smooth experience. It's probably much easier with modern controls since it was designed around tank controls. Good piece of video game history here.

面白かったですね。快適な操作性、個性的で気味の悪いデザインの敵、刀で切りつける爽快感など、最後まで楽しめました。 各武器も特徴がしっかりしており、エフェクトなどもカッコ良かったです。 間違いなく歴史的な作品だと思いましたね。 ただ、ボリュームはかなり少ない印象でした。初プレイでも5時間程度でクリアできてしまいました。 気になった点としては、 ・OPであれだけ前面に出ていた信長とは戦えない(笑) 　わずかに対面しますが、まともな会話すらない。 ・弓矢、銃、くないなどの遠距離武器について、使うメリットを見いだせない。 　威力も低く、刀での接近戦の方が強力でリターンも大きいため、試し打ち以外使いませんでした。 ・ムービーがスキップできない。これは厳しかったです。 　ボス戦の前には必ずムービーが入るのですが、やられてリトライする際に必ずムービーが流れます。 　スキップできず時間も数分間と長いため、毎回強制的に観る事になります。 １周プレイ時間は短いですが周回プレイが前程の作りになっていますし、やり込み要素や隠しコスチュームなどのお楽しみもあります。 全体としては素晴らしい良作だと思いますので、お勧めします。

Onimusha: Warlords is one of my childhood games, and it holds a very special place in my heart. ❤️ I enjoyed it so much when I was younger, and even today, it brings back so many great memories. Games like this from around 2000 were the real deal—no endless updates or battle passes, just a great story, challenging gameplay, and pure fun. 🎮⚔️ Onimusha is the kind of game that reminds me why I fell in love with gaming in the first place. A truly special game from my childhood that I’ll always remember and enjoy.
