I want to start by saying that I have really enjoyed playing Out of Ore. I am also one of the owners of the CORE gaming community, where we run a server that anyone is welcome to join and play on. Out of Ore is, or at least was, a really good game. It worked well, the developers seemed to have a clear vision, and it genuinely felt like they had created something with a lot of potential. Unfortunately, after the latest update, things are starting to feel increasingly half-hearted. It feels like the developers are no longer listening to their community. Beta updates are being pushed to the live version despite testers and players reporting that things are not working properly. Feedback from testers seems to be ignored, and compared to how development was handled before, it feels like the studio has made a complete 180-degree turn. I don't know what has changed internally, but something definitely feels different. I want this game to succeed, and I hope the developers can get things back on track. But with the direction development is currently taking, I would recommend waiting before buying the game. See what direction the developers decide to take first. I would also recommend joining their Discord and reading what the community and existing players are saying before making your decision. There is a genuinely great game here. I just hope the developers start listening to the people who play and test it before that potential is lost.

The game is fantastic for what it is striving to be, but nontheless game is filled with bugs and cannot be played with it's current state. One major ick I have in this game is trying to drive a truck or a pickup feels like playing sega arcade driving.

I held off on buying Out of Ore for quite a while because I'm usually hesitant to jump into Early Access games too early. I finally decided to give it a shot in April 2026. 500+ hours later... I think it's safe to say I got my money's worth. Out of Ore has become one of those games where I sit down planning to play for a few hours, and suddenly it's 5am in the morning and I'm still digging or building because "I'll just finish this one project." What I really enjoy is the freedom the game gives you. You aren't locked into one specific way of mining. You can plan out a proper operation, move massive amounts of dirt, chase ore, build roads, set up conveyors and equipment, or completely overcomplicate a simple job because apparently that's more fun. Watching a mine slowly transform from untouched ground into a huge working operation is incredibly satisfying. The equipment is a huge part of what keeps me coming back. There's something genuinely enjoyable about running the excavators, loaders, dozers, haul trucks, baggers, and all the other machinery, especially once you start building an operation where everything works together. The physics and equipment have continued to improve, and the developers have been steadily adding and working on new content. It's also one of those sandbox games where you can make your own goals. I've found myself constantly thinking about what I want to change, expand, rebuild, or try differently the next time I play. After more than 500 hours, I'm still planning thousands of more hours on my first map. If I had one criticism, it would be the economy. Making money has generally been a little too easy, which takes away some of the challenge of building up a mining company from nothing. Recent updates have improved this somewhat, though, and I hope the economy and progression continue getting more depth as development moves forward. And yes, it's still Early Access. There are bugs, unfinished systems, features still being worked on, and apparently certain pieces of equipment that may arrive at some point. But that's part of why I originally waited before buying it. At this point, I'm very glad I finally jumped in. For anyone who enjoys heavy equipment, mining, digging, sandbox games, or turning a perfectly good piece of land into an enormous hole for absolutely no good reason, Out of Ore is very easy for me to recommend. Highly recommended.

Very deep sim that is well worth the money. However recently the development has started to be quite rushed with updates are being pushed breaking the game.

Control scheme for the Mouse alone is absurdly over complicated, What mouse needs a dead zone option? You only need 4 total options, 1st Person, 3rd Person, Vehicle Sensitivity, and Invert Y Axis. I'd probably play more if it gets fixed though i'm uncertain.

My personal opinion on this game - This is easily my new favorite game, unbelievably addictive. Lots of vehicles, machinery, and equipment to buy and use and setup in an infinite number of ways, on multiple different maps.. which are huge. Gameplay is smooth with zero issues, can go at your own pace and just enjoy hauling tonnes of dirt and stone out of the Earth. Very rare for me to say, but this is an easy 9.5 out of 10 for me. Would just like to see more vehicles and equipment, but seeing as this is early access that could easily turn into a 10. Devs are always working on the game and definitely put a lot of love and time into it. 100% recommended.

I had to fight to set up controls just to get the loader in the tutorial to where I could drive it forward. The controls for this game aren't just unintuitive they're downright hostile to keyboard and mouse players. Requested a refund.

Where to begin. First of this is a great concept for a game, lots of equipment to buy and decent gameplay loop. Unfortunately that is where the problems start. The camera. Horrible. Absolute crap. In enclosed tunnels are tight areas it zooms in and out and can spin around, I spent as much time fighting the camera as I did fighting the dirt physics. Which brings me to the real problem, the dirt. It does not act like real dirt. Drop the loader bucket on the ground and it makes a hole, backing up with the bucket down and it magicly fills with dirt. Guys stop adding 'features' and overhaul the dirt physics for the love of god. I'll be back in 6 months and try it again. Hopefully you will fix it, I really want to enjoy this game. Next problem that is painful for me is I can find no way to reverse the y axis like you can in other games. Please add that.
