I owned the original Panzer Dragoon on the Saturn. I no longer have it but I still have fond memories of it. I think that while this remake is maybe lacking a little atmosphere, it largely captures the spirit of the original. I experimented a bit with the control options but ended up going with the classic option that essentially recreates the Saturn controls. I haven’t played the original for ages, but muscle memory took over. Graphically, the game is nice and obviously much higher fidelity than the original. I think it lacks a bit of grit, but maybe that’s just nostalgia and the limitations of the Saturn that caused that grittiness. I played the game entirely on the Steam Deck and it runs beautifully, easily maintaining 60fps, possibly 90 from memory, but don’t quote me on that. All very positive so far, but the biggest issue is I played it on normal difficulty and finished it on my first attempt using only three continues. I didn’t even come close to beating the original, but I also can’t say just how much more difficult it was as I haven’t played in so long. From memory, I was happy to get past the second level, but I don’t know for sure. Maybe I’m just better at it now too. Regardless, the game is too easy on normal. My playtime is 74 minutes and that includes me experimenting with controls during my playthrough, so it’s probably even easier than I think. Another thing is that I wouldn’t say the game actually felt extremely easy. I don’t exactly know how to explain it. I felt like I was being challenged in that I still felt like I could die (in the game), but I just kept progressing. Despite finishing the game in around 70 minutes, I don’t actually think the game is too short, just too easy. Had I chosen Hard initially, I may have felt completely different, but I was expecting quite the challenge even on normal. This is not a bad game and I don’t even regret purchasing it as I got it on sale. Had I paid full price I may not have felt the same. I probably won’t play it much more, but it was enjoyable while it lasted.

Nunca jugué al Panzer Dragoon original, así que mi opinión es únicamente sobre esta versión Remake y como experiencia por sí sola. Lo primero que me llamó la atención fue su apartado visual. Me gustan mucho los colores y el diseño de las distintas zonas; tienen una estética bastante llamativa y hacen que cada etapa se sienta diferente. La jugabilidad es sencilla, pero entretenida. Puedes maniobrar al dragón y disparar desde la vista frontal, mientras que en las vistas laterales puedes concentrarte en disparar. Esto se aprovecha especialmente durante algunos jefes, donde tienes que estar atento a diferentes direcciones. También contamos con un ataque normal y uno cargado que resulta bastante útil contra una gran cantidad de enemigos ya que es auto dirigido El juego es corto y, fuera de completar las etapas, no tiene demasiado contenido adicional. solo acabar con todos los enemigos sin dejar escapar alguno y las distintas dificultades Al terminar el juego se desbloquea una galería con imágenes interesantes y un menú de trucos, lo cual está bien como pequeño extra, aunque me hubiera gustado que hubiera un poco más de contenido para alargar la experiencia. como skins o algo mas Aun así, me parece un buen juego. Es corto, sencillo y no tiene muchísimo que ofrecer, pero resulta bastante entretenido. Hay algunos jefes que disfruté especialmente enfrentar, aunque, sinceramente, lo que más me atrapó fue el soundtrack. La música es DIOS, simplemente grandiosa, y para mí es uno de los puntos más fuertes del juego. En general, recomiendo Panzer Dragoon: Remake si buscas algo corto y diferente. No esperes un juego enorme lleno de contenido secundario; aquí la idea es bastante simple: montarte en un dragón y dispararle a todo lo que se te ponga enfrente. Y seamos honestos: ¿a quién no le gusta disparar mientras monta un dragón?

Poprawny rail shooter (ani dobry ani zły). Akurat na godzinę rozrywki tyle mi zajęło przejście. Nie wiem jak bardzo się różni od oryginału bo w niego nie grałem i tego nie oceniam.
