First of all, this game is completely in English only the setting is in German. So stay away from it if you don't speak English. But also for everyone who can do the same as far as my opinion. The graphics are just bad, with the exception of the landscape, I like that, actually. In addition, the game seems to have got stuck at the beginning of the EA stage. Chamber management is cruel and the behavior of the control system, for example during conversations, is extremely bad. Think that's enough to recommend it. Unfortunately, a really poor game. I don't want to sh** on it too much because it has potential, but in my opinion is a sorely unfinished game that needs a lot of refining and some general professionalism. The English is broken and incorrect, and all characters are voiced by the same two people. If English is not these people's strong suit, even so much as recording in their first language and using subtitles would be a better experience. With some better voice acting and proper scripting, it could be a half way decent way to kill half an hour considering the only real story is talking to other characters. If you're collecting achievements or perfect games, it's very easy to get all 5 steam achievements in just about half an hour. Most of this is idle time. Otherwise, there is no reason to purchase this game.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Project X is a small-scale survival horror exploration title developed and published by Bulls Bros that attempts to evoke tension and mystery through atmosphere rather than overt scares or complex mechanics. Positioned firmly in the realm of low-budget indie horror, the game draws heavily on familiar genre elements—isolated wilderness, unexplained disappearances, and an unseen threat lurking beyond the trees—while striving to create unease through slow pacing and environmental storytelling. The result is an experience that is more contemplative and experimental than traditionally frightening, one that reveals both the ambition and the limitations of its design. The premise places players in the role of David Smith, a scientist dispatched to investigate the disappearance of two teenagers near Grackham National Park. What begins as a missing persons case quickly escalates into something more unsettling, with abandoned vehicles, traces of blood, strange sounds echoing through the forest, and rumors of unidentified creatures haunting the area. Rather than delivering this story through cutscenes or heavy exposition, Project X relies on scattered clues and implied context, asking players to piece together the mystery themselves. This minimalist narrative approach can be intriguing, but it also means that much of the story remains vague, leaving players to infer meaning from limited information. Gameplay centers on exploration and light investigation. Players roam forest paths, caves, and campsites armed with basic tools such as a flashlight, map, camera, and binoculars. These items are meant to reinforce immersion, encouraging careful observation of the environment and attention to subtle details. However, while the concept is sound, the execution often feels underdeveloped. Interactions are minimal, objectives are not always clearly communicated, and progression can feel aimless at times. Instead of steadily building tension through discovery, long stretches of wandering can dilute the sense of purpose and urgency. The game’s atmosphere is built primarily through its environments and audio cues. Dense forests, dark caverns, and poorly lit areas dominate the visual landscape, reinforcing isolation and vulnerability. Lighting plays a central role, with the flashlight acting as both a navigational aid and a thematic symbol of limited safety. While this approach can be effective in theory, the visual presentation is hindered by repetitive assets and modest graphical fidelity, which sometimes undermine the intended mood. Similarly, the sound design relies on ambient noises—rustling leaves, distant animal cries, and occasional unsettling sounds—to suggest danger, but these elements rarely escalate into truly memorable or sustained moments of fear. Project X also includes a local multiplayer option, an unusual addition for a game so heavily focused on solitary exploration and atmosphere. While the idea of shared investigation has potential, this mode feels more like a novelty than a fully realized feature. It does little to meaningfully change the gameplay or deepen the experience, and the game’s systems are not robust enough to support cooperative strategies or dynamic interactions between players. One of the most noticeable challenges the game faces is pacing. Without strong narrative direction or escalating mechanics, tension often plateaus rather than builds. The mystery at the heart of the game is compelling in concept, but the lack of clear milestones or narrative payoffs can leave players feeling disconnected from their objectives. Horror thrives on anticipation and release, and Project X frequently struggles to balance these elements, resulting in an experience that feels more muted than suspenseful. Reception among players reflects these issues. While a small number of players appreciate the game’s atmosphere and concept, many criticize its clunky controls, limited content, and lack of polish. The ambition to create a slow-burning wilderness horror experience is evident, but technical shortcomings and underdeveloped systems prevent the game from fully realizing its ideas. Compared to other indie horror titles that achieve strong emotional impact with minimal resources, Project X often feels unfocused and incomplete. Overall, Project X is a niche survival horror experiment that may appeal to curiosity-driven players or indie horror completionists interested in exploring obscure titles. Its strengths lie in its premise and its attempt to foster unease through isolation and implication rather than spectacle. However, the lack of refinement, narrative clarity, and engaging mechanics ultimately limits its impact. For most players, it will feel more like a rough prototype than a fully formed horror experience, but as a snapshot of small-team ambition within the genre, it remains an interesting—if flawed—entry in the indie horror landscape. Rating: 4/10

For Fun: 2/10 & For Achievements: 8/10 You know that Bigfoot game that was popular 2019-2020 that YouTubers and Streamers like Markiplier, JackSepticEye, H20Delirious, and CaRtOoNz played? Take that, switch it to a bulky alien, and make it the dollar store version of it and here you go. Project X is not a good game, however it did give me and friends a good laugh playing and it has achievements. The only real appeal is the low cost and achievements. If your hunting and need a quick easy completion, this one is right up your alley. If you play for fun, the alien likes to clap your cheeks and book it. Grab lots of bear-traps.

- The voice acting is terrible - The Audio quality is terrible - The audio normilization is nonexistant (the snapping sound when you take fall damage practically blew out my ears when everything else sounded quiet) - The visuals look terrible aven on high - Theres no graphics options other than overall low/med/high - It's unclear what youre even supposed to do - The enemy gets stuk on the environment and doesn't fix itself - Boring as piss 2/10, a vague attempt at a game that fails at practically every level
