A waste of time with a truly tedious and mediocre plot. A shame to the original games and a horrible way to kill a legacy. Shenmue 3 in my eyes stand as an underwhelming mess that shouldn't exist, if you're a fan of the evolving story then don't bother playing this game and just look up a youtube video on it, it'll be infinitely more fun than "playing" this mess. Shenmue 3 is a game that sets out to respect the legacy established by the previous installments, going so far as to pull in the original voice actors. Where this goes to ♥♥♥♥ is when they decided to "emulate" the original, this stripped the game of any heart it could've had, instead its an empty husk attempting to emulate it's betters. It's a mess, it's a waste of time, and while there are glimmers of hope here and there it all becomes marred by the rest.
