Game is actually not that bad to be fair. It's definitely one of the weaker silent hill games out there, just not as horrible as some people make it out to be. The negative review is not for the game, just the broken pc port. It's genuinely unplayable so don't waste your money.

Honestly not that bad compared, went into homecoming from all the hate saying sh 1-4 the only good games and it wasnt the bad, the movement and gameplay felt similar to evil within and playing as alex was fun trying to find his little brother and probally most enjoyable visually boss would be Asphyxia had that centapeed look overall not bad and didnt take long to play through, unlucky steam and konami didnt port achivments on it 7.3/10

I know this game gets alot of hate, but i'm so glad i gave this a second chance! the first time i played (about a year ago) it kept crashing at the very beginning. however, this second go around, its working great! almost perfectly. i don't know what i did differently (maybe because i updated my driver?) but i didnt need any mods to make it work. as someone who is a die hard silent hill fan, i am so so so glad this game exists. yes it does take a minute to figure out how to attack properly but once you do, the game is so fun.

没有真正的归途，只有无处安放的罪罚，当谎言的迷雾散去，留下的只有无尽的深渊与无法被宽恕的自己 记得第一次接触寂静岭系列的游戏，就是玩的这一代归乡（那个时候还是在快玩游戏盒上下载的），一直以为这是第五代（没想到正统续作第五代到现在还没出），那个时候年龄小，觉得可刺激了（虽然也没有什么一惊一乍的画面），没有个人在旁边看着，自己一个人根本不敢玩下去（甚至那段时间晚上都不敢一个人去上厕所了你敢信🤣），当时还觉得这游戏老难了，尤其是打boss方面，现在看起来也不简单，因为已经玩习惯现代化的游戏操作模式了，这需要按一下shift来锁定才能进行攻击的奇葩设定让我都快通关了才勉强的习惯下来（还有这个慢半拍的闪避，有宫崎英高那味儿了）。没想到这已经是将近二十年之前的产物了，画面和生化危机4原版其实差不多，未来都有和他一样重制的希望，当然，前提是这个系列真的能火爆到这种程度（现在看来，还是很有希望了，新作townfall马上就要发售了，下一个重制的就会是一代） 然后我来聊一聊剧情方面，玩完了2代重制版再回来玩这一代，最大的体验就是主角都是为了找寻某一个重要的人，而自愿的接受了来及寂静岭神秘力量的蛊惑，来到这个是非之地，这个是非之地会根据主角的执念和以前犯下的罪恶来量身定制一段冒险，经历完这段冒险后，主角或多或少会有所启发，也许是豁然开朗，也许是完全崩溃，又或许是碰见UFO（好像这是每一代都有的彩蛋结局，和剧情毫不相干的无厘头可以说是），不管是哪一种结局，都代表着主角的罪恶，已经接受了寂静岭的审判，虽然这个过程会有点血腥，但可以说是很正义了，艾利克斯不小心害他弟弟掉河里淹死了，他居然还能不记得这件事情了，还跑来寂静岭找他弟弟，怪不得他弟弟一直不愿意接受艾利克斯，见着就跑 总的来说，这一代在剧情上还是延续了以往的主要风格，画面在当年也算是非常超前的了，第三人称自由视角，但是吧放在现在玩就有点落后了，一方面不支持中文，你得去3DM那里下载汉化包，另一方面这个游戏和现在的电脑分辨率有点不太匹配，调小了就会导致不能全屏，如果你想全屏，就得接受右边有一块区域是溢出到屏幕外面无法观看的事实（就很反人类，无法做到自适应），所以，如果你能接受上述缺点，而且对寂静岭系列有强烈的性趣，冲就完事儿了，如果感觉一般，可以看看b站的视频剧情解析，或者等一等这一代的重制，不过在目前为止看来，这一代如果打算出重制，保守估计也得是2033年以后才能问世了，前路漫漫

Arguably one of the worst if not THE worst Silent hill game ever . first of all , dont waste your money and patience , not only is the game BAD , but also unplayable. you have to watch toturials and download fanmade package to add to your game in order to even play it or lessen it's crashes. the , even after that , the frame drop is crazy why am I playing this horrible game with 2FPS??? also , the story is bd , the combat mode is the worst among all silent hill's i've tried so far. honestly worst then downpour , cause at least downpour you can play correctly. Clearly tries to be a bad copy of silent hill 2. Do not waste you rmoney .

A única coisa que eu gosto nesse jogo são algumas referências q tem de Jacob’s Ladder, fora a trilha sonora do Akira Yamaoka que é sempre mt boa Pra não falar que tudo nesse jogo é ruim, ALGUNS monstros tem uns visuais legais até, e talvez a história seja minimamente interessante se você for com expectativa negativa Fazer esse jogo rodar na versão da Steam é um parto, não vale a pena. Pensei até em jogar a versão de ps3, mas me forcei a jogar a de pc pq paguei 5 reais nisso

Se cercate il terrore psicologico puro e lento dei primi tre capitoli, Homecoming potrebbe sembrare un po' troppo d'azione se però viene preso per quello che è un horror d'azione con una splendida colonna sonora, mostri memorabili e un'ottima atmosfera macabra — rimane un capitolo estremamente valido e ingiustamente sottovalutato.

This game is basically a crashing simulator, I crashed at least once per hour. But if u can put up with that, the game isn't too bad. The story and game play are what u would expect from an old Silent Hill game. It mostly sucks cus the buggs and crashing. Ngl I wouldn't recommend paying full price for this tho. def wait until it's like 80% off on sale.
