It's a pretty game with lots of potential but ultimately it falls flat. Exploring the world isn't as satisfying as it could be, the story isn't as compelling as it could be, and combat is just outright boring.

Not perfect, but definitely something I would recommend for anyone interested in scratching a Zelda / Death's Door itch.

There's A LOT to love in this game. Story is pretty nice, technically stakes were high but at the same time it wasn't overly grand and that's not an issue, just saying that. You know by the cover art you play as the Grim reaper, so a little spoilers here but not much: Your appearance to everyone is a normal human, so it's funny to me how people see this random, unarmed guy deal with threats and not ask how he does things. Or for that matter, a normal dude turning into a giant crow. If they can't see it, then they can see the pig float away at least. Anyway, combat is my main critique, it's really bland which is a sharp contrast from the extremely cool exploration mechanics. Also, I have to question how some people who were aware the main character is death, that they could kill them? Funny. Invulnerability mode is canon mode btw unless told otherwise. It's how the story went lore wise to me. Of course this is a zelda-like game so you gotta be able to die. Very pretty art and world, especially animations, I'm happy about that. Quite simple overall and I believe that's fine, though I suppose this game should've been like 9-10 dollars but it's not a big deal. I love grim reapers so much I love scythe users so there's a bit of bias there. I kind of don't like all the achievements are after the ending of the game. Maybe a boss or two should've had one for beating it. Not bad, I like it but I don't love it.
