Technobabylon
The year 2087 is upon us — a future where genetic engineering is the norm, the addictive Trance has replaced almost any need for human interaction, and an omnipresent AI named Central powers the city. Its all-seeing CEL police force keeps tabs on everyone, including three people who are about to meet their maker.
Charlie Regis, an agent of the city’s all-seeing secret police, finds himself blackmailed with the lives of his unborn children. Pushed to the limits by his deceit and his past, how far is he willing to go to save his legacy?
Latha Sesame, a jobless agoraphobe addicted to the Trance, has become targeted for assassination. Without knowing who to trust, she must face the dangers of “meatspace” and survive a fate that has invisibly ruled her entire life.
Max Lao, a tech-savvy case officer who joined CEL to forget her criminal past. Now she finds herself torn between two loyalties. When she’s asked to apprehend her best friend and partner, she must choose to follow her friend or the law.
As these three struggle to save themselves, they will soon discover a string of conspiracies that threatens not only their lives, but everything they think they know. Content Warning:

This is a really enjoyable cyberpunk pnc with a great story and some interesting characters that I genuinely liked and cared about. The voice acting is good, while the music and sound design are solid and fit the atmosphere well. Another enjoyable Wadjet Eye game that’s well worth your time.

In the future, when I'm about a hundred years old, young adults will spend so much time in cyberspace that they won't fully recognize certain real-world objects. They'll revel in sims depicting the catastrophes and cataclysms of history. Our world as it is now will be barely a historical footnote and still a novelty, to them. This game predicted that, and rightfully so: today's young'uns, the last of Gen Z, all of alpha and soon beta, already make light of people's adversities in modern & post-modern history, whatever little they know -- anything pre-modern they are blissfully unaware of. There is a keen deeper insight here that still holds up eleven years after this game's full release. Original score is awesome too.

It's hard to write a review that would do justice to Technobabylon. The game is excellent. As a software, it run smoothly, there is no bug and the interface is so ergonomic an infant could play. The story is well written and even more importantly well delivered. There was only one character inconsistency that took me out of the story for one split second. The world we play in though is solid as a rock and it is very rare to find such well written science fiction. The puzzles in Technobabylon are not an obstacle between you and the story but more of a tool to make progress and it feels overall very well though out. Technobabylon should be considered a classic of its genre along with The Longest Journey, Beneath a Steel Sky, The Dig or Day of the Tentacle to cite a few.

Technobabylon tells an interesting sci-fi story with interesting characters and good voice acting. The difficulty level is balanced, and I found myself rarely stuck on the puzzles.

Great game! The puzzles were challenging but rewarding for the most part - there was only one that I had to use a walkthrough on and wasn't sure how I was supposed to have worked it out but maybe I missed a clue? I would recommend to fans of point and click adventures.
