This is actually a good game and would still be a good game if someone took the code and made a few corrections to it and made it more fun... But I will give a thumbs down to it; because of one word: GREED I have been playing Car/Racing games since 1986 and I have played nearly all major games for 40 years, made millions of km on wheels Now if they had made this game without a Corporate structure above them; say like Everspace 2 or Expedition 33; just to make a good car game, just to make an art that people would love and enjoy and have fun while playing; this game might have sold 10x more and brought them much more profit. But nope, CORPORATE GREED... Milk the players, make money on them, treat them as wallets instead of people with a spirit. The GOOD: Graphics are OK, environment is OK, car sounds are actually really good, driving is good, The BAD: 1. STUTTERS = Just because they want to MILK people, they made the game "always online" so you can't cheat/edit your save and give yourself money (so you have to buy their diamonds) = To achieve this, they are keeping your savefile on their servers and to make sure your game is saved they do a "handshake" with the server a lot = This causes a pause in the game, like a freeze/stutter (it's not related with your hardware; I can get 60 fps at ultra settings but this still happens at lowest settings and it happens on certain points meaning the game is trying to communicate with the server and pauses for that) 2. REGION LOCK = They should fire the guy who thought locking the game into regions was a good idea.. Now imagine you create a multiplayer car-racing game which has "MULTIPLAYER" option on all races; but you rarely and barely see 1 or 2 other players on the map, because you are locked to your own country/region... Great thinking. 3. BODY CUSTOMIZATION = There are no BODY customization for the cars. There are the wheels, glass tints, paints or vinly.. Why can't you change the hood, fender, bumper, body kits and so on? Was it too hard to add? 4. PERFORMANCE CUSTOMIZATION = You can buy performance upgrades; but a) it takes A LOT OF TIME to fully upgrade a car (4 minutes per car) because the game pauses to do a handshake with the server each time you buy an upgrade (so you can't cheat them of their precious diamonds!!) AND when you are trying to enter a race that requires your car to be DOWNGRADED, it is done AUTOMATICALLY... Come'on man, let us change whatever we want. I want to keep the speed upgrades and remove the brakes and so on... NOPE, "you players are idiots, you can't do the customization yourself, let us do it for you..." 5. ECONOMY = It was horrible (you needed to grind 100+ races to buy a Bugatti) They added some very lucrative races at later patches... But even after 142 hours, I still have 40 cars in the game.. Because most of the races/events give you nothing compared to the actual prices. Also, who thought selling clothes for 1 million USD was a good idea... Either make it coupons or whatever.. But if people won't have spare money to buy those clothes, why did you add them to the game? 6. STORY = Written by idiots... Even AI couldn't make it such cliche... 7. CAMPAIGN/PROGRESSION = They have tasks that give you extra money/exp but imagine this: They have 50 tasks that require you to win 100 races with a specific car. Win 100 races with Ford GT; wih 100 races with Nissan GTR... Great thinking!!! People had more ideas even with the 640 kb RAM and 360 pixel monitors of 1980s... The map is cluttered with races all around but you have no reason to do most of them, because it's not linked in a progression or a story. Just random races all around. 8. SEASONS/WEEKLY = They add new content (like you have to do these 4 races and win them, get points...) so you can get a LICENSE PLATE!! But if you want to buy this and that, DIAMOND STORE is there for you... FINAL VERDICT: A "would have been" car game that sucks due to the decisions made by the top management...

i want test drive unlimited 1 and 2 on steam :( yes i purchased the game for $10 on a sale and refunded it just to get this off my chest $50 game yet STILL has micro transactions and always online functionality, no offline singleplayer, my goodness that is horrendous beyond measure. might as well be playing a mobile game. oh btw test drive unlimited 2 has something called “project paradise” online on github. its an open-source third-party launcher that restores online features and multiplayer functionality through community-run servers, with mod support and cloud saves as well. project paradise requires a legitimate copy of the game, of course

比地平线还垃圾的外观改装，外观改装几乎没有，少的可怜的外观改装竟然还是要氪金买通行证的，傻逼通行证还不能无限续杯，想改车竟然还要氪金，杂种制作组真的贱的没边了，别的游戏开头就给你免费选择的改装到这傻逼贱逼要死的游戏里还需要氪金收割冤种，唯一能免费改装的轮毂还分成2个家族专属，而你则只能选择一个家族，那么另一个家族的轮毂你就不能使用，这样为数不多的改装选项又直接被傻逼机制给减半了，且每个轮毂改装的解锁都要花费大量时间，别的游戏里直接用低价的游戏币直接购买的到这里需要你花费大量的时间解锁然后再购买，而且轮毂改不了颜色，因为这傻逼贱婢制作组把不同的颜色上架商城让你氪金买，你没听错，轮毂换个颜色上架商城要花人民币购买，就一个轮毂问题就能看出这制作组有多几把贱，更别说粗糙的建模和鬼城香港，少的可怜的车加上少的可怜的改装，贱的没边的贱婢制作组做的贱婢游戏，简单形容这个游戏就是贱婢东西到死还想着如何收割金钱败坏最后的好感卷款跑路的贱东西。

Gave it another go since it was on sale for 10€ but unfortunately it still sucks Completed the tutorial/introduction and bought my starter car after which there were no races to be found on the map. The only options I had for stuff to do were taxi jobs, investigations(???) and car deliveries. What kind of a racing game doesn't let you race immediately after the introduction? Performance is also abysmal, had to play in 1080p with lowest settings and DLSS on performance to get an unstable 50-70fps. As a result of being on the lowest settings with a low resolution, the game also looked like absolute ♥♥♥♥. Whatever bit of story there was going on about solar crown and the gangs was impressively uninteresting, a bunch of corporate upper class people doing street racing? Who actually thinks thats cool? The handling also feels terrible The lamborghini you drive at the beginning is meant to be an example of a high performance car Its meant to be fast and handle well There is no sense of speed but the car still understeers like crazy, braking feels unresponsive and its very easy to overshoot corners. If youre absolutely desperate for a new racing game to play through, it might be worth the 10€ on sale Other than that, I cannot recommend it to anyone

Playing this game is like watching your favourite pub that you've been going to for decades burn down. I loved TDU1 and 2, but this has taken the TDU DNA and thrown it out the window. It feels like an underdeveloped cash grab with poor optimisation, poor support and infuriating gameplay. Genuinely a missed opportunity and definitely killled the franchise for good. Given its a TDU game, my expectations where not high (weird physics, cheesy dialogue, awkward loading screens), but this fell substantially shorf of my already low expectations. Do not buy. Specific problems: Clunky gameplay Drivatar difficulty is just weird Crashes and bugs Grinding mechanics Awkward loading screens at weird times Always online (inc races) Boring map. Races are same with no real changes or excitement

мертвая игра. нет того что было в предыдущих частях. автопарк скудный. у нпс одни и те же модельки, покупки домов нет, одни и те же интерьеры автосалонов. в игре нет иммерсивности и вариабельности. что бы купить нужное корыто нужно иметь уровень репутации. что бы поставить хороший отзыв игре - тоже нужен уровень репутации. отмечу региональную привязку по онлайну и отсутствие кроссплатформенности онлайна. за 9 часов игры в этот кал, в одной сессии я видел максимум 4 игрока со мной. зато добавим соларпасс и введем микротранзакции. бонусом по сей день в игре нет оптимизации. проебались ещё на старте. а ну из бонусов - вроде физика прикольная. в общем и целом е!банная дойка с элементами гринда, да и сама по себе игра ♥♥♥-ня. разрабы нае!бнули чашу говна перед тем как это выпустить, то то у вас текущий онлайн в 115 человек))

RUS: Прошло два года, но ощущение, что продукт застыл в развитии, не покидает. The Crew даже в стадии открытой беты предлагал куда более увлекательный геймплей, чем нынешняя версия. Перечислять минусы и выискивать плюсы бессмысленно, игровое сообщество уже составило исчерпывающий список. Суть проблемы проста: когда разработчики штампуют один боевой пропуск за другим, игнорируя запросы на оптимизацию и переработку механик, их главная цель - компенсировать убытки за наш счёт. Иного объяснения нет, а значит, единственное разумное действие: оформить возврат. К сожалению, перспективы у проекта нет. По моей оценке, игра просуществует не более года, а к 2027 году, вероятно, последует закрытие серверов и роспуск студии. ENG: Two years on, and the product still feels like it has made no progress. Even during its open beta, The Crew was a far more compelling experience than what we have now. There’s no point in listing the negatives or trying to find positives – the community has already spelled them all out. The problem boils down to this: if the developers keep pushing out battle passes while neglecting performance fixes and meaningful gameplay updates, it’s clear they’re just trying to cover their losses with our money. No other reading makes sense, which leaves us with only one rational response – asking for a refund. Sadly, there is no long-term future here. I’d give this game another year at most; come 2027, I expect the servers to be shut down and the studio to be dissolved.
