It's an absolutely beautiful game, and a really good fixed tuning experience for seasoned stacker veterans. The visuals are spectacular and the soundtrack is wonderful, with a lot of fun gamemodes to choose from. HOWEVER. I simply CANNOT recommend this game due to how horrid the netplay is. Finish a 25 minute match (YES, A SINGLE ZONE BATTLE SET LASTS THIS LONG.) and manage to just barely scrape out a victory? TOO BAD, Your opponent can just disconnect and deny you any SR gain because the game quits out to the menu whilst essentially declaring the match "no contest". This is a VERY frequent occurrence at lower rating brackets (it stops at around 9.5k but that's an absolute chore to get to.) If I could refund this game solely because of that, I would, at least until it's fixed. Until then, I cannot recommend this game as a fair versus environment.

Tetris Effect is a beautiful, dazzling, ethereal euphoric experience. That sounds hyperbolic, but it literally feels like you're at a concert/rave, a true out of body experience. The music production by Hydelic & Takako Ishida is out of this world. I love all the different effect modes available to play, depending on what mood I'm in. If I need a challenge it's there, if I just want to zone out, there's also modes for that. The weekend ritual events keep me coming back. It's fun working collectively with the tetris community to try and meet event goals. I enjoy unlocking new avatars to orbit earth, while checking out fellow multiplayers avatars. I do wish the avatars had more features though, in Lumines Arise you can customize your avatar/profile much more. Honestly, I couldn't recommend this Tetris more, especially if you have anxiety or you're stressed. It's a good brain break from the dumpster fire that is our current world. I've put in over 60+ hours so far on my Steam Deck.

It's a little bit too much for just wanting to play tetris, but i'm not complaining about the graphics either.

a beautiful version of a great classic. Runs great even on dated HW. Remember to enable HDR, even in Linux (it works! just be patient and try...). Better with headphones. The rest? It's Tetris...

自從小時候FB的tetris battle不能完之後，這款算是比較接近的，而且不卡，雙人對戰與周六的三打一BOSS模式都很不錯，也有對新手友善的闖關模式，反正大推都玩這麼多個小時數了~

It is a recommendation with a very strong qualifier. Why I recommend: AMAZING visual and musical experience, it is literally the way to play tetris in 2026. Tetris is timeless, perhaps the best game ever made; tetris effect makes tetris even more timeless. Beautiful to play. I love this game for what it is. Now, the strong qualifier: be prepared to be very frustrated with play on steam deck. The dpad on steam deck makes this game incredibly difficult for anyone who has played tetris on multiple systems. The problem is false diagonals and false drops because something is wrong with how the game controls on Steam Deck compared to any other system I have played tetris on (many systems). When sequences get very fast you need to move pieces quicker and that is when the problem comes around because you will get all sorts of drops in the wrong spot, it is like the controller is moving faster than what is on screen. In game menu settings offers sensitivity toggles and a locked toggle that does not allow diagonals, but it does not matter because the issue is in how the dpad on the steam deck is not in sync with the game, it is almost like you press once and it moves twice. Not literally, but it feels like that. I am at the point where I am trying to sort out how to play it off of steam deck, but I do not have a system that will play this file.

If you enjoy Tetris and trippy/beautiful visuals this is a great game. The journey mode is enjoyable and (for me) forces you to use some of the more innovative mechanics like temporarily stopping time and swapping/holding blocks. The effect modes are what I tend to come back for now that I've finished the journey and I imagine I'll keep coming back for them.

言ってしまえばめちゃくちゃ奇麗で気持ちいいだけのいつものテトリスだが、その奇麗さ、気持ちよさへの拘りが半端ない。 基本モードは様々なテーマを背景にテトリスをプレイし、最終面のクリアを目指すものだがその背景がとにかく美しく、気持ちいい。 各ステージには細かな効果音が用意されており、ミノを動かすだけでも様々な音としてフィードバックが返ってくるのだが、これが意識の外からでも気持ちよさを与えてくれる。実際のプレー中は中々余裕が無いが、適当にミノを動かしているだけでも何かが満たされていくものを感じられる。 ぼんやりと遊んでいるとテトリス特有のランナーズハイ的なものに加え、この作品の音と演出が絡んでトリップしながら黙々と遊べる1作。トリップの方向も全体的にアッパーというよりはどんどん自分の内側に入っていくような、盛り上がっても落ち着きを感じるようなテンションの曲が多い。 感覚的な部分に訴えてくる要素が殆どのため、テキストだと今一つ要領を得られないが、紹介ムービーで興味を持ったのならやってみる価値はあると思う。 自分はVR機器を持っていないためそちらの没入感は分からないが、これだけのために手を出してみようかと思ったくらいには感覚にクるものがあるので、VR機器を持っているのなら尚触ってみて欲しい。
