I have mixed feelings about this expansion pack. The horses are super needy with or without the trait. They constantly run through fences and locked gates. They will constantly cancel your sims stuff out to be brushed, fed or whatever else the needy horses want. Its enjoyable to a point. The horses are cute and fun at first then it just becomes annoying because they won't leave you alone at all. I figured out to build a fence and remove the gates and lock them up for them to leave you alone that way they can't summon your sim every literally 5 seconds to be brushed, fed or that your sim HAS to listen to them. They stomp at your sim if you don't give them what they want as well. Its rather annoying that they remove the unicorn from the game as well claiming its not realistic yet they made these horse EXTREMELY unrealistic, Horses are not that needy in real life so why make them that way in the game. If the mare isn't full on food before she nurses then the baby will starve her to the point they take her away. Some of the babies are born with blankets on that not realistic at all. Horses CAN"T talk in real life yet they demand that you listen to them every 5 seconds. If you don't have stairs to your house or up on a platform, then they will join you at your dinner table demanding to be brushed or fed, or to LISTEN to them. Its ANNOYING, yet I love horses and just wish that they would fix it so these horses are NOT needy like this, demanding and canceling your sims stuff out. Example, I had my sim pet a sheep, clean the chicken coop, harvest his garden and collect honey, Then move to the other one to give them a list of stuff to do come back to the first sim to find them with the horse feeding it, brushing it or listening to it.... like WHY??? Yes a ranch hand some what helps but if you make your horse a champion then the ranch hand stops doing their job to constantly take pictures of the horse. They neglect the chicken coop as well for whatever reason. They stop taking care of the little mini animals to give all their attention to the horses. There is absolutely no way to correct them either, when they stomp at you you can't discipline them for such things. But its honestly up to whoever wants to purchase this pack, I would wait for it to go on sale, you can google some of this stuff before you buy or if own it already then the fix i found is to put them in pen and take away the gate they stop summoning your sims because there is no way for the sim to get to them, and then if a fairy just fly in there feed brush whatever and then fly out boom, sad that you can't play it the other way like an actual ranch. I wanted to add that every time a horse does the number 1 bathroom duty the little mini animals will drink it or something like that but it disappears every time they stick their nose in it,,,, GROSS When i took a closer look it appeared as if it was drinking it, or licking it up
