Basically the best game to ever bless my heart in my childhood. I'm happy that it exists on steam too. It's very stable and decent. It's definitley much darker in sense than other newer Sims games. Overall, good storys, good tool and if you figure out how to play it, you'll be good!

This game was a good starting point in the series. It comes with dlc so there is more content to play with. I experienced no crashes or issues playing this game. However, the gameplay is abit harder than other Sims's games since your sim needs decrease faster and making/maintaining friends can be tedious. Also, aside from babies growing up to children, there is no aging so your sim will never die of old age and children can't age to adults.

I feel like this game is for people who appreciate nostolgia its not for everyone though. this game is the perfect break from sims4 and its relaxing

Very chill virtual dollhouse. The aesthetic and humor are top notch, never to be matched by the series again. As such, it stands as a one-of-a-kind game.

It's about as simplistic as you can get for The Sims. You can see from playing this just how much more functional and streamlined the later The Sims games have become. I definitely would not get this as your only The Sims game. But fans of the series should still give it a look. It definitely has a certain charm you don't get from the later The Sims games thanks to the old school graphics, a soundtrack that just vibes differently in a good way, and it's simplicity. If you've never played a The Sims game before, it doesn't hurt to start here I suppose. It will give you a basic idea of things to come in later games. The Sims is a life simulation series. And this is the game that started it all. It's not the best. But it's easily the most fundamental of the series.

Spent my childhood playing this game. So happy now to have it on Steam and play it again even if it's just for the sake of nostalgia. It's a challenging game, you have to be really smart about managing your household if you play The Sims as a simulator. Sims die easily and go broke fast, but there are many interesting items and features that eventually teach you how to cheat life in this game. ;D So far the game is running smoothly on my system. I haven't had any crashes. There are some minor graphic glitches on the highest settings for my setup but only in build/buy mode.

Game is unplayable. It would start but keeps flashing from game to desktop repeatedly. I was looking forward to playing this classic from my childhood but I guess some things are too good to be true.
