Graphics are fine, story is fine, puzzles are fun, voice acting is good, dialogue isn't great. Even when this was released I doubt I would have chosen to potentially release a plague upon the human species, nor curse them with immortality, but I sure as hell wouldn't do it now in post-COVID times.

For a "we have portal at home" puzzle game, it's decent, because the puzzles are engaging for the average gamer who doesn't care about plot. It takes a bit less thought than a portal puzzle, but they're satisfying to complete. As an amateur writer who is a obsessed with robots, I find the plot incredibly frustrating. The premise is interesting, but the execution as Ava and TOM interact throughout the game feels clumsy, flimsy. TOM's ability to control humans via remote connection is not something that he had a choice in, it was the company that did that to them and designed him that way. However, he speaks almost as if it were his idea, in a cartoonishly evil manner. Ava is so betrayed by this fact that she (and by extension, most players) overlooks the nuance of her position. Most of their interactions can be summed up with TOM being like "I did this bad thing, because logic." and Ava going "what the hell you can't just do that!!" On my first playthrough of the epilogue, I shot Sarah and Ava immediately. Read "The Postmortal" by Drew Magary if you need more motive for why a sudden cessation of human aging is a bad idea. Also, somewhat of a logical inconsistency/unexplained plot thread: if the crew built all of the tests in an attempt to keep TOM out, not wanting TOM and Ava to bond, why make some of the puzzles team-building exercises? Why not disable the loaded turret in the final room? It kind of feels like the writing was made at the same time as the level design, leading the writers to back themselves in a corner to some extent when the camera-swapping mechanic came into play.

great game if you have an itch for more portal style game. Easy to get all Achievements. Puzzle build up well and start very easy and some at the end can make you think a bit more. Story was ok voice acting was ok

Absolute classic! if you love the Portal series you'd love the turing test, highly recommend! chinese room? TADC? I had played this years ago on the PS4 and it still holds up.

Une équipe de scientifiques est envoyée sur la lune de Jupiter pour construire une station de recherche souterraine, aidée par une IA du nom de TOM. Placée en cryostase à bord d'une station orbitale en attendant la fin des travaux, Ava est réveillée de manière anticipée par TOM : les membres de l'équipe ne donnent plus signe de vie et il est nécessaire qu'elle se rende sur place pour tenter de déterminer ce qui leur est arrivé. Après avoir pénétré dans la station, elle découvre avec étonnement que les lieux ont été modelés à l'image d'une série de salles de tests à échelle humaine... The Turing Test est donc un jeu d'énigmes environnementales en vue à la première personne, marchant sur les traces de ses aînés Portal 1 et 2 et The Talos Principle. S'il en reprend certaines mécaniques il leur apporte quelques variantes qui lui sont propres : équipé d'un pistolet à énergie il sera possible de prendre ou de projeter des sphères d'énergie à distance pour activer ou désactiver des dispositifs tels que des portes, des élévateurs, des plateformes, des tapis roulants ou des aimants de grande taille. Il sera aussi possible de piloter des robots ou des tourelles pour activer des mécanismes ou avoir une vue d'ensemble des lieux. Pour les joueurs habitués du genre, il convient de préciser que le jeu manque d'originalité et de challenge. La difficulté, bien que graduelle, s'étale trop sur la durée, le jeu prenant fin alors qu'elle commence à se montrer plus retorse, ce qui est à la fois un bien et un mal. Pourquoi ? Parce que l'uniformité des décors et l'absence de véritable narration tendent à rendre la progression quelque peu monotone. Pour autant la réalisation du jeu n'est pas en défaut et il sait aussi se montrer attachant mais il aurait gagné à varier les lieux parcourus et proposer de jouer davantage avec l'environnement comme Portal sur sa fin, Portal 2 dans les tréfonds d'Aperture Science ou bien encore Lightmatter. The Turing Test est donc un jeu parfaitement recommandable mais qui risque de décevoir ceux pour qui ce ne sera pas la première expérience du genre.

I great puzzle game that starts off easy and ups up mind-bendingly difficult, but well worth the challenge. If you liked The Portal, this game is for you.

Достаточно крутая игра, хоть и немного быстрая в прохождении, если не оставлять игру на паузу а играть во время игровой сессии, её можно пройти меньше чем за 2-3 часа. Игрой доволен, заставляет местами подумать, особенно в доп. комнатах, за прохождение которых можно получить достижение.

Это последователь Portal. И выглядит всё довольно хорошо. Вы проходите небольшие комнаты с головоломками. Должен признать, они логичны и крайне разнообразны, игровые механики оригинальны и очень редко повторяются. Но, всё же, многие комнаты проходятся менее, чем за минуту, а сложность увеличивается лишь количеством простейших действий. А вот сюжет здесь не сильная сторона. Интересных дилемм я не заметил, протагонистка мне не импонирует, хотя могли неплохо пофилософствовать на тему мыслительного процесса искусственного интеллекта, это же Тест Тьюринга да? Но, увы, игра не про это. А финал, хоть и имеет даже два варианта развития событий, он ну крайне нелепый. Может, я бы и проникся чем-то, но, увы, руссификатор не руссифицировал аудиологи и переписки. В целом, заметно, что эта игра сделана на коленке. Моя оценка 7 "бессмысленных диалогов" из 10. Поиграть в целом можно даже с удовольствием, но не ждите чего-то высокого. Прошёл за 6 часов, в бонусных комнатах (которые ничего не дают) тупил.
