This is a great collection. I was already a fan of Zachtronics games (especially Opus Magnum), but I stupidly let this stagnate on my wishlist for far too long. I would look at the listing and think, "Is solitaire really worth buying? It was free with my operating system since the 90s." I was expecting essentially one core game with a few different licks of paint. I am happy to say I was completely wrong. Each game is distinct, both visually and functionally, from the last. Each different take is interesting in its own way, and there are some incredibly well-thought-out mechanics on show. Whether you're looking for something to play with muscle memory while you listen to a podcast (like the more familiar Klondike/Freecell style games), or something more in-depth (like the delightful surprise of Fortune's Foundation, which will draw your full attention), there is plenty here to keep you interested. If you are looking for something without time pressure that is sometimes challenging and always designed with love, I don't think you can go wrong with this collection. Hard recommendation (if you don't hate solitaire).

A really great solitaire collection, I'll review each game one by one- but the overall collection I'd put around 9/10. Shenzhen Solitaire: Personally this is my favorite solitaire in the collection, it's fairly simple once you understand the alternating suits and the strategy of getting the mahjong tiles four cards to put up to the top. 9/10 Sigmar’s Garden: Pretty basic tile matching game, it's novel for a little bit but doesn't have much depth for strategy. 3/10 Proletariat’s Patience: This solitaire can be tricky sometimes and I feel like you can get suffocated quickly with no space if you make a bad move. Other times it feel like this one is a breeze, it doesn't really grab me like the others. 5/10 Kabufuda Solitaire: Initially this solitaire can be hard to read but you only really need to read the top corner of the card. After you're able to do that the game is rather standard, but I haven't been able to beat the hardest difficulty of it yet either. 6/10 Cluj Solitaire: Cluj is a unique twist on solitaire with a striking art style. You're allowed to "cheat" by placing cards in illegal ways but you can quickly bury yourself as a result. 7/10 Cribbage Solitaire: As a cribbage player myself this is what I bought the collection for initially- great decision in hindsight. If you like cribbage you'd love this solitaire, it's easy to keep playing hands and going for wins. According to global achievements this is one of the least played game in the collection. It has a cool military theme and a simple but effective hook. Remember to go for runs instead of 15s or 31s. 9/10 Sawayama Solitaire: The classic solitaire you'll know, it's a good FreeCell solitaire if you're just looking for the original. 8/10 Fortune’s Foundation: The crown jewel of the collection. It's a deeply satisfying solitaire to solve and it feels like a puzzle you solve move by move. It is very easy to make one bad move and be stuck so you need to be methodical with each move. It will be confusing initially but you will understand the best way to stack your rows and suits the more games you play- don't be afraid to fail, it makes your first win even better. 10/10

A great "daily" sort of game Sawayama is good to unwind with, and Fortune's Foundation is clearly the best if you're in the mood for actually thinking

Gonna be real, I have wasted so much time playing this game and I do not see myself stopping at any point in time. I think people are super hung up in "winning" and complaining about how there is no undo button. I think that it is part of the challenge to see if a game is solvable before starting and if you don't know.... play the game more often? I don't get frustrated at the game that I was unable to complete the hand I get mad at myself because I can trace back my moves. I think $10 is a liiiiiiitttttttle bit steep but worth it specifically for me because I love this game so much BUT definitely worth it on sale. The ability to boot up, play one or two hands and then shut it off is so nice. The only thing that is a con is I refuse to get the cribbage achievements. That game SUCKS

I want the ability to see the seed for a given game and input a seed to start a game. This is the one missing feature of this entire collection and it does frustrate me that there isn't one. I want to be able to retry a certain deal that I think maybe had a solution I just borked, or maybe I mistakenly double clicked and the deck dealt past a move I wanted to make, there's dozens of reasons. Have the seed functionality toggleable in settings for those who don't want the temptation, idc, just gimme. Think of the weird and interesting starting positions that folks might find and then be able to share if we had this feature too! I understand that asking for a feature on a game whose developer kinda doesn't exist anymore is a bit futile, but certainly this is possible if they want it to be. And I am asking that they want it to be.

Wonderful mix of games with a great soundtrack. Sawayama is my favorite. The cribbage variation is a surprising challenge!

Fortune's Foundation easily one of the best card games ever. I bought this purely to play Fortune's Foundation. The other solitaires are great, and it's really nice to read the brief history on each of the games, but Fortune's Foundation is where it's at. Absolute masterpiece of solitaire.
