I like being sent to the sinister dimension with sinister tunes even though my reaction speed is bad and I should not be playing rhythm games (but I am having fun) 10/10

Thumper is sublime. It stands as one of the greatest video games of all time and is a work of art. Please play this game. The flow state is utterly amazing and the ambient opening just hit like the first plunge of heroin.

Criminally underrated game. When you lock in and get past midway through the game, you feel like you are marching down a battlefield, banging your chest. Best "rhythm" game ever made. But, feels more than that. Huge bonus points for the VR. Doesn't really change the game (and honestly, that is a good thing) but just makes it more immersive. Basically like strapping your monitor to your face but playing this in VR with headphones on is as close as you could get to fighting in a Viking war.

Thumper is a pretty awesome VR experience, very trippy, amazing nice crisp colorful graphics, has varying difficulty as you progress, its unique for what it is and over all just a fun experience with a high replay value, worth every cent.

When I play games, I try to be a completionist, but getting S ranks in this game just isn't fun. If you're a casual player, I think you'll like this game, but to get the perfect scores, there are way too many obstacles hidden around corners that you can't see, too many forced angles that reduce your visibility even more and I feel that sometimes, they throw something at you that doesn't fit the rhythm of the level just to break your combo. Overall, if you don't care for perfects, go for it, but if you do, I don't know if you'll enjoy this experience.
