Just pirate this game. No joke, I decided to both buy AND pirate this game out of morbid curiosity. And the pirated version literally ran BETTER since it had the fan patches pre installed, whearas Ubisoft completely neglected this almost 20 year old game with broken AI and bad level design. Look, I want you to trust me that this game is just as bad as they say, worst PC ports of all time. HOWEVER, the game itself isn't 100% bad and has some nice moments, however due to this being a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ port, you're better off pirating it from steamrip rather then buying this since the pirated version actually comes preinstalled with patches. I'm not gonna be one of those people that say "Oh just play V2" which, yeah V2 is better overall it's more like Chaos Theory, however this game also has some cool stuff like Shanghai or the JBA HQ sections, which is why I'd still recommend you try this game out... By either pirating it OR emulating the 360 version. In fact I HIGHLY recommend you emulate the 360 version since it actually looks better then the PC and PS3 versions (for some reason PC and PS3 look the same, whereas 360 has better models and shadows leading me to beleive the PS3 and PC versions were developed at the same time and 360 was the main focus).

Ubisoft deserves to go out of business with how poorly this game ported. - Constant crashing - Buggy controller mapping - Wonky UI - Patch since I last played it 2+ years ago somehow made it worse??? I deserve an apology I know I'm never gonna get from how bad this game is.

Double Agent V1 itself is a pretty decent, underappreciated Splinter Cell game, but the main problem with this PC port is that it is a bugfilled, unstable mess in vanilla. This port is 70%(ish) playable after applying all the official patches, installing the widescreen fix, and doing some ini tweaks.

Trust the reviews and rating SCDA is an unplayable mess on pc, you'll have random crashes, cutscenes breaking with gameplay, save files that randomly corrupt, crash on pressing continue, broken AI (♥♥♥♥ Moss with his braindead AI that gets stuck on nothing), ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ possible safe cracking mechanic (which breaks if you interact with it at slowest movement speed). I ended up getting SCDA Enhanced patch, and even with the patch the game refused to work. I feel like if you play original Trilogy, decide to skip DA and head into Conviction, Conviction would still make sense even without playing DA

This is HD version of the game and its ok but not on PC. its a buggy mess here so dont buy it but I use this review to tell you guys some madman ported Double Agent V2 witch is amazing game so open google and type "Double Agent recompilation" download files from github after it take your legally optained files of xbox Double Agent, copy them to assets folder and enjoy.

Crashes constantly, unplayable. Sucky thing is, I'd buy it again if Ubi Soft did a remaster which did nothing but make the game work.

O jogo trás uma proposta diferente dos demais, com o stelf comum não sendo algo presente. Senti falta das sombras e dos combates, mas estive aberto para entender a proposta. Sim, esta versão do PC tem alguns bugs, dentre eles save corrompido, missão final que buga e não finaliza e entre outros, mas da pra jogar. Melhores missões: Na neve (assim como em todos os jogos) e as do QG.

So where do i begin? You need to manually patch a product that is still sold at a ridiculous price, game keeps crashing even with community fixes, can't save properly, can't bind keys properly. But the worst aspects of this game is the horrible AI, clunky movement, useless UI and scoring system. Enemies saw you with their 270 degree vision? Too bad now try the section again. Oh wait you got stuck inside an object and now the whole base is alert? Too bad. You want to access a computer? Here's a 2 second cutscene. The camera slightly saw you? Well, we won't alert the base but you caught so here's a -20 score without notifiying you...Like what the ♥♥♥♥? Also, the game just feels ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ slow overall. Don't buy this piece of crap and give money to this ass company. In fact you can safely skip this game as it's entire existence is just to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ piss you off. Makes me wonder...how can you fall so hard after putting out one of the best stealth games?
