Somewhat inconsistent failure conditions, enemies in the story largely have zero rules they have to follow the way you do (mainly in regards to army command and economy) and it's like the fog of war doesnt exist for them. I wanted to like this game, the aesthetic, the world, the themes and the music are all wonderful, and the fact the devs made their own fictional language for it is really cool. Makes me wish there was a book set in this world rather than just this game.

Really cool idea, great music, and funny almost timeless feeling story in the vein of animal farm that begs, pleads on it's hands and knees, prays to a higher power that it was a real RTS. Unfortunately, the gameplay is too simplified for consoles. Playing with keyboard / mouse feels stupid, as you're mostly just using your left and right mouse buttons. Control groups, hotkeys, and other features you might be familiar with from the genre don't exist here, but they really should.

It's still getting updates? Wow, holy cow. Very fun little RTS. It's much simper than starcraft or warcraft - but that's not a bad thing. The game is super active and you don't spend much time waiting for anything really. In terms of game design, A really interesting case study on how limitations and simplifying the game can make it much more fun and deep. The art and story is fantastic too. The setting actually really interesting. It takes a lot of inspiration from western classics like watership down, animal farm, and rats of nimh. Probably a top 3 modern rts. Must play, even for those not in the genre.

the first RTS game I've played where skill does not matter and you are at the mercy of RNG. gets boring, fast.

Easy to pick up, sometimes you have to randomise the campaign levels to make them fair but it's solid for the price, especially if you pick it up reduced

Great beginner friendly RTS was fun gameplay loop and a challenging single player campaign with accessible difficulty modifiers.
