Copied from my TSW2 review: Honestly, this dlc isn't very good. The route is dull, the trains aren't particularly well modeled, and the timetable is passenger only and barren, with timings that are far too tight. The recent update has improved things, but it honestly just feels uninspired. There's an add-on for this dlc which adds additional rolling stock and freight services, but those services are just dropped into the existing timetable with no regard for the passenger services, making a schedule that was once difficult to keep, now completely untenable. The only thing this route succeeds in is capturing the dreariness of British Rail in the north in the 1980's

Its an old one but yet one of my favourite routes! a nice route with some old feel, lacks a bit of traffic in the timetable and diversity but definitely worth it on sale.

i want to like this route, it's gorgious and the train is interesting with the gear system. but i had some trouble with the doors not opening at all in the cab, even when it was a prompt to go outside to "take a break" i was stuck for 2 hours and then just decided to give up on the route. i am yet to decide if i'm going to return this dlc or wait till a patch, but if you want to buy this dlc, don't. there are better working ones like rapid transit with the talent 2 train. if a patch comes i might change this review but for now this is all i can say.

I'm very pleasantly surprised with this one. For the most part the route looks quite good... there was one area where the rocky sides of the route just looked bad but the rest looked really good. Did pick it up on sale for $8.99, I don't see $29.99 worth of content here but for a deep discount it's worth it. I've found the 101 to be the gem of this DLC. Did note that some said they couldn't open the cab doors on a loco and I found it was this one. After looking at the train from the exterior view and interior I realized there was only a door hand on the outside. Upon opening the window to the cab door from inside I could then open the door. Someone "modeled" reaching out the window to open the door!!!

This rote is horrid. First of all its short and is not representative of the route in any period of this route, including the set period. Another thing letting this down is the period it is set in. No one likes driving an old route that is uninteresting in the time period. Honestly, it is more interesting in the modern day. If it was in modern day, it would have the class 350 and 185. Which brings me to my next point, the stock. You get the Class 45/1 in British railways livery, the Class 47/4 in British railways livery and the Class 101 in British Railways Livery. What a difference in liveries! Jokes aside, they are mid trains. You also get mk1 carriages which are... to say the least, okay. The sounds are borderline bad and the models go with same title. In conclusion this is a bad route and anyone looking to get an old British route with diesels, get west Cornwall local or West Somerset Railway, both not good themselves, but better then this garbage. 2/10.

감속 지점을 넘는 일이 유달리 많기는 한데, 전체적으로 잘 만들었어요. 일단 노선도 길고, 플마 한시간 정도의 시간표도 적당히 다양합니다. 디젤기관차 세 개 넣어 주는 것도 마음에 들고. 딱 짜증나기 전으로 느릿느릿한 기차들에서 느껴지는 뭔가 후줄근하고 닳아 빠진 느낌은 잘 전달되서 적당한 옜날 철도나 디젤 여객열차 아니면 영국 국철 좋아하시면 찜해둘 만 합니다.

I saw a comment on this DLC, saying it perfectly captures the dreariness of the British Rail of 1980s and it kind of caught my eye. I have to say this DLC really is -Dreary -Boring -Ugly -Sad -Grey -Dull -Depressing -Counter-intuitive and last but not least, -User unfriendly. This is precisely what I was looking for! No, but seriously, it actually makes you feel like you're a train driver and quite a lot depends on your skill and experience. Operating the throttle, changing gears, messing around with a primitive braking system. It's all here. You know what? This is just so refreshing after driving the modern German trains, where you go to a complete stop after a smallest fart. And I don't have to tell you how often that happens after a bowl of kartoffelsalat. Here if you master the controls, the track is yours. Pure freedom and loads of satisfaction. The landscapes are pretty as well. Go ahead, buy this DLC and have fun! (yes, I'm a bit weird, but trust me - I like trains).
