The first loco in TSW I absolutely adore and don't have mixed feelings about. At first it could be mistaken for a Class 47 rework with same shortcomings, but noooo, this thing is on another level. Scripting and sounds were done by different people this time and that shows - even with current somewhat limited sound system of Unreal Engine, audio setup on this loco is superbly detailed and immersive with every operable thing (and there's a lot of them!) having its own distinct click and hiss and screech. Cozy warm cab lighting, working headcode display, dynamic engine cooling and vacuum pump, operable angle c o c k s, even properly animated brake rigging with sleeves on brake cylinders deforming properly. That's the kind of detail I expect from next-gen train sim. Absolutely recommend, even though it can only be operated on WSR for now

The Class 33 is probably, at the time of writing, the best Loco DLC available for TSW. The amount of details in both the model and the core logic is unlike anything we've seen so far. The sounds are truly magnificent and this DLC has probably one of the, if not THE, best running sounds. Almost every control in the cab can be interacted with and has a function that is faithfully recreated to the real thing. Extras like the customizable headcode number, working external air valves bring it all together. The Class 33 with its lower power also makes for a great locomotive to run along the WSR route. The lower 25 mp/h limit doesn't feel quite as slow when your engine actually has to work a little to drag the 5-car consist up the hills of West Somerset. If you're fond of the old BR diesel loco's, then this DLC is definitely the one to get.

A Truly Excellent Locomotive But, come on? What else can you expect from Edward Fisk? This loco shows what happens when you put the right person to the job. Choose your devloper wisely, and you just might end up with more butes like this. So, what does all this "wow someone put effort in" give you? [*]Spot on physics with a throttle and engine that do what they should-including interesting quirks, like wheel slip protection and half-notched half-smooth throttle action [*]Awesome sounds that not only have some sense of realism, but also some sense of 'everything makes a noise'-from the brake pads to the cooling fans, there's a lot more going on here than usual [*]Touch all the buttons! All of them work, and work the way they should. You got heaters, headcodes, and a handbrake that actually takes a good few revolutions to apply [*]And just plain attention to detail. Like AI sounding the horn, a brake pin that has to be manually moved, a decent heating/cooling simulation, and more random things above the standard Perhaps the only downside is that it only comes with scenarios for WSR, because I'd sure love to take this thing out on every route there is! And when scenario creators get their hands on this, I imagine they'll do just that.

Well DTG finally seem to be hitting the sweet spot with this release for their TSW spin off. Excellent looking model, both externally and inside the cab. Seems they have fired their previous sound guy and got someone who actually knows his way around a microphone and a mixing deck - this actually sounds like a 33 should. Physics, well constrained by the 25 MPH speed limit on the WSR but I was having to give it some wellie departing Bishop's Lydiard up the 1 in 100. As others have mentioned here and on the train sim forums, the 33 needs a few scenarios on Paddington to Reading or a route where it can strut its stuff - like the old stamping grounds of Cardiff to Portsmouth or Crewe, Bournemouth to Weymouth or Salisbury to Exeter.

Ein gutes DLC für die West Somerset Railway. Es bringt mit drei zusätzlichen Szenarios etwas Abwechslung auf die Strecke und überzeugt beim Sound sowohl als auch beim Fahrverhalten. Die Einbindung in den Fahrplan trägt auch noch zur vollen Nutzung der Lok im Fahrplan Modus bei. Für den Preis ist der Inhalt echt in Ordnung. Kleinere Soundfehler sind noch enthalten diese werden aber sicher beim nächsten Update behoben.

按照TSW美英德的规律，LIRR之后下一个英国DLC我在想会不会是啥通勤铁路，结果是一个车，而且是在WSR展示老车…… 上一个单独作车的DLC，CSX的GP40-2，出来的时候除了价格问题（机车+车厢*2+场景任务*3=70RMB），这车的牵引制动还有点小问题（功率手柄回零还带载，电制动压不住车速等），国内玩家初期给好评的不多。这次正当众玩家被LIRR那胡来的限速和ATC整的晕头转向时，C 33的发售可以说毫无存在感，和GP40同价，却并没有增加车厢…… 简介说这是一款广受英国南方群众喜爱的机车，以至于98辆机车保存了33辆，并且一些甚至可以上干线，真 · 过了半个世纪还在用（我们这儿小北京和DFH3也只是在厂矿里调个车……）。外观一如既往的精致，污渍做的非常逼真。英国机车转向架运行时的振动和驾驶室开关各开关极高的互动性在这部DLC依然保持了下来，而且可以调整正前方的车次牌（个人理解，欢迎指正）。声音也是还原非常到位，功率手柄归零位接触器断开的响声绝赞。如果你愿意把功率手柄推满超速冲一次，你就能体会到这车完全体的85%（毕竟极速85mph），很像DF4B出站后提速。AWS的声音意外搞笑，像是一个破喇叭hhhh，和C47的AWS相比完全画风不同。DSD虽然没有了周期警惕，但是如果离开驾驶座2s左右，机车紧急制动，这点请务必注意。当然，机械间一如既往的不能进入。 教学类似LIRR，相对WSR原版的C 09和C47增加了旅客乘降教学。 场景里“水手专列”大概算是WSR的大站快车了，“维修站”里你将扮演威利顿地勤司机，从列车上摘下机车，进行加油（对，WSR第一个能加油的车），然后再将其连挂好继续运用。“回归故里”则是收车任务，但比之前的简单许多。运输服务则是直接用C47的时刻表，和之前没有区别。如果你运气足够好，你可以在迈恩黑德同时见到C33和C47。 综上所述，这个DLC我说实在的愿意给个中评，因为相对同类的GP40-2来说，它确实贵了，而且受限于WSR本身，这车也无法发挥全部实力。但其首发完整度和精度确实不错（除了机械间不能进入），符合英国机车一向的高水平高精度。锦上添花型的作品，想买了等打折力度大时，再给你车库添个车吧。
