Firstly, more DLC and still no editor is my first comment. The cynic says that an editor would allow scenarios and extra playability across TSW that my reduce the requirement for buying extra DLC. However, this is a very good pack, and good value when compared with the Class 33 and 52 pack, which should have been combined in all honesty for £11.99 and the scope of the line you use them on. I have had a couple of bugs appear and some strange power surges on both the class 08 and class 40. There are only three extra scenarios and two tutorials. Both locomotives are very well modelled and good attention to detail. Opening battery and fuse boxes on the 'Gronk.' Sound is quite good, although as with other locomotives in TSW, I find some sounds louder than they should be and some quieter than I think they should be. I wish you could adjust sound levels for different areas such as engine, horn, AWS ect. As an offset to this you also have quite a few extra services with the class 40 added to passenger services and the Class 47 to freight services along with a few class 08 services. Making the entire route allot more playable and probably one of the best for its scope and amount of services. There are many short services as well for the Class 40 and 08 of 15 mins or so, if you just fancy a quick go. I brought this pack instead of the new Tees Valley Line, which includes the 08 and the Class 101, so I was only gaining the Class 37 and of course a new route. I will buy Tees Valley when it has the usual discount applied at some point. Fully recommend this pack and if you don't have Trans Pennine is a good value for an extra £5 over just the route to buy the route along with Heavy Freight DLC. Although the DLC has always been on the high side price wise with Dovetail and I generally wait for the discount sales to buy.

The Biggest Loco DLC Yet NTP has been a really nice route, and as much as I love it for what it does have I did always want to see some freight in there. And this pack adds just what NTP needed for freight, plus more! Seriously, this DLC is huge. I can't believe how much new stuff it adds, it really is an impressive bang for buck. And on top of that, the trains themselves are of excellent quality. If you have NTP, this really is a must have! As usual, let's list off what you get: [*]A fantastica Class 40, which is just as fun to drive as Ed Fisk's prior work (you know how much I like his stuff) [*]Oh, and that Class 40 has two variants as well, allowing it to truly represent what most of the class looked like in the 1980s [*]And while the 40 on its own is worth it, we also have an Ed Fisk made Class 08, which is just as fantastically detailed and adds more gameplay than I was expecting [*]The TEA tanker wagon, which gives you some awesomely heavy trains to haul, putting the 40 to its limits [*]Plus the 12 ton van too. While not as heavy as the TEAs and not with quite as much gameplay, the vacuum brakes make for an interesting challenge [*]An excessive number of new services which add a crazy amount of gameplay. Also, you don't even need to use the 40 on these new services, the 47 and 45 work too! This one will keep you busy for a while. [*]Then a small set of pretty good scenarios which offer slightly different gameplay to the services. Honestly, I think I would have been fine with the Class 40 and TEA tankers. Then they went and added the Class 08 and the 12 ton van. All while keeping at the usual $20 price. Then they have that $40 pack with both NTP and this DLC. The two synergize so well that getting $10 off is unfair to DTG. This much good stuff for such a reasonable price? Not sure who wouldn't want to take advantage of that!

Pros: - Beautiful modelling - Great physics and driving characteristics - Great sounds - Nice amount of interactive detail on both the 40 and the 08 - Cool "Auto Whistle" feature for AI, details like this bring the route alive - Greatly enhances the industrial feel of the route - Nicely expands the service timetable, with more activity in the depots and more derivable services Cons: - Only one weathering pattern on the tankers and vans - I would have expected variable weathering. - Still no cab sway. I'd expect to see this in a simulator like TSW. - Sound bug in the tunnels where the echo effect for the whistle cuts out randomly. - No tail lamp on the tankers. - It would have been nice to see a small route extension to Healey Mills yard. - Given the era and area, I would expect to see some coal traffic. - While is diverging lines at Stalybridge and Huddersfield see some traffic, the diverging lines around Leeds and Manchester remain unused in service mode. There needs to be more AI traffic on these lines. My overall rating: If you like the NTP route, you'll love this add-on. 8/10

Hier könnt ihr einen ersten Eindruck bekommen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoezvKxBA0c Positiv: - Güterzugfahrten sind nun auch auf Northern Trans-Pennine möglich - 2 Lokomotiven enthalten - sehr viele Fahrplanfahrten, auch mit der Class 45 und Class 47 mit Güterzügen, sowie mit Class 40 im Personenverkehr möglich - 3 interessante Szenarien enthalten - Trotz 2 Loks im Paket, niedriger Preis Negativ: - Im Szenario "Handwerkszeug", sind die Anweisungen teils etwas ungenau

Неплохое дополнение с грузовыми вагонами для маршрута Манчестер - Лидс Плюсы: 1) наконец то появилось более менее реалистичное по физике грузовое движение. Я имею ввиду разгон, тормоза, динамика. В отличие от игрушечных американским тепловозов и явно упрощенных по физике немецких электровозов здесь тяговые характеристики тепловозов похожи на правду 2) очень хорошо выполнены модели британцев маневрового класс 8 и грузопассажирского класс40 3) красивые вагоны, правда всего два типа. Бочки на пневматике и крытые двухосные на вакуумных тормозах Минусы. 1) Физика конечно похожа на правду, но не до конца. Нет продольных реакций в составе, по-прежнему нереализовано боксование. Можно было хотя бы добавить покачивание кабины в движении и тд. Вобщем выглядит как аркада, очень пластмассово, хотя прогресс и есть 2) Отвратительно настроено освещение в игре Это справедливо для всех дополнений TSW, но в британских особенно заметно. Поскольку на бритаских локомотивах не было прожектора ехать приходится в абсолютной темноте. То есть перед тобой черный экран на котором мигают периодически лампы светофоров. В TS2019 такого не было. Да и вообще что по физике, что по ночному освещению дополнения AP для TS2019 все ещё намного лучше.

随着C40到来，几个大站间增加了若干货物列车，当然有时候C40也会客串客车和行包快运，其本质上又一个突突突的拖拉机车，机械间当然是要偷懒了。油罐车和棚车完全不是一个画风，前者像个正经火车，棚车像是从隔壁托马斯剧组那边借来的hhh

Bought this on sale , looks like a worthwhile addition to the Trans Pennine route , but so far , 3 from 3 attempts to complete a scenario have failed due to game crashes. I'm surprised because there seem to be many positive reviews of this DLC and yet I am unable to use it for anything longer than 20 minutes before it gives up and dies. I have a decent PC that runs many other simulation games without issue so don't go waving your finger at me ! Anyway , another thumbs down from me Dovetail. Not that you give a flying F%$^ anyway

Très bon pack, niveau son, un très bon travail a été effectué, c'est un vrai régal à nos oreilles. Plaisir de conduite sans égal, l'AWS est présent sur la BR40 mais la ligne Trans-Pennine ne permet pas de l'utiliser faute de balises sur les rails. Il n'y a que 3 scénarios mais les services sont là pour augmenter la durée de vie. A noter que la BR08 peut aussi être conduite sur la West Somerset Railway, un fait qui n'est pas signalé sur Steam (surprise?).
