Update from TSW4 TSG have done it again with another well made offering with the classic and well known DB DB 218 loco. The 218 fills a noticeable void in TSW in regards to German mainline diesel power, the loco itself found on all sorts of work across the system. The loco comes in DB Red, looks good, sounds good and has better diesel smoke affects compared to other locos. Something new can also be observed being variable smoke, the exhaust on loco's can vary from shades of clear exhaust to very dark.For those wanting to adjust the PZB settings need to enter CAB 2 as this is where the dial is located. A unique inclusion is a n-wagon tailored to diesel operation allowing the 218 to run push/ pull services. One Journey Mode is included and this covers the Hamburg - Lubeck route and a modified timetable for the Aschaffenburg _ Milternberg route. Other routes can also make use of the 218 in either passenger or freight service and these include *that I own: Munchen - Augsburg Rhein - Ruhr Osten Rhien - Ruhr Ruhr - Sieg Nord Main - Spessart Bahn Nahverkehr Dresden Schnellfahrstrecke Koln Aschaffenburg - Miltenberg Does the pack have issues? Well yeah. Two to the pack itself and the other is more TSW specific but becomes VERY apparent here. The first is the visuals on the headlights for the n-wagen are not that great and that applies to the electric versions as well. Second is using the doors on double deck stock outside of the Hamburg - Lubeck route are bugged. Currently the player needs to open the doors to the opposite of the platform, so the platform on the left means opening the right side doors and etc. As for the TSW specific issue, it's not uncommon for multiple classes to have access to the same services on the same routes and the 218 is no exception but this is where the problem is found. The 218 is often assigned to services *outside of Hamburg - Lubeck* that it can't run to time with. This can vary from lack of power, a service needing double heading only has one loco instead and that the 218 simply can't match track speed quickly or at all. Services with frequent 160kmh speed limits using a slower accelerating loco that maxes at 140kmh sets the players up to fail straight away. Does this ruin the pack? Not really. The 218 these days can be seen being used as rescue or substitute power so those services would be late anyway. When choosing a service outside of the chosen journey mode one just be prepared to add an extra 10min to whatever service you picked. Overall this is a great pack and well worth getting to increase your Geman collection further.

Also ich freue mich mega das nach und nach so schöne alte Lokomotive hier rein kommen und dieses dlc ist sehr sehr schön es sieht alles so unfassbar schön an und auch die Sounds sind der mega aber ein kleinen minus Punk gibt es doch und ich hoffe so sehr das dovetail Game das behebt und zwar kann man keine sifa und pzb einschalten in der lok und das finde ich sehr sehr schade aber ansonsten ein mega dlc

Beste Diesellok die ich je in TSW gesehen und aber vor allem gehört habe. Wenn alle Lok's so einen Sound hätten und so Authentisch wären, dass wäre ein Traum. TSW5 ist auf einem guten Weg und die Fortschritte gehen in die richtige Richtung. Vor allem die allgemeine Beleuchtung wurde stark verbessert, der Wetterwechsel und der Zeitwechsel machen viel mehr Freude als noch im TSW4. Auch der Regen sieht viel besser aus und auch die Ausgestaltung der Strecken wurde um einiges besser. Nun noch der Sound bei allen Lok's und Waggons so wie bei der 218 dann passt es so langsam und ein wenig mehr Güterverkehr inkl. Rangier-Fahrten wären klasse.

Die Lok ist ziemlich gut gelungen. Ich hätte mir vielleicht noch einen etwas verbesserten Sound und etwas mehr funktionen sowie den Maschienenraum gewünscht. Falls man Fan der 218 ist, lohnt es sich meiner Meinung nach trotzdem, die Lok zu kaufen.

Be warned: DTG did not fix some of the most egregious bugs on the assigned route, Hamburg - Luebeck. My own guess is that no beta tester actually drove the entire route or did so without reporting bugs, or worse. I like the loco and its driving van, but if you buy the route to run it on, be advised.

Ich muss leider schlechte Bewertung abgeben, da die Lok mit Wagen direkt auf Leistung aufstellt. Bei der reinen Lok, ohne Wagen, geschieht dies nicht und verhält sich dementsprechend auch wie im Original. Bitte, Bitte schaut nach diesem Bug, weil das einfach die Freude am Spielen nimmt.
