an amazing sequel to an amazing game! a bit terrified the story ends here considering what the next turnip boy game is... but none the less i've enjoyed every release thus far.

Magnificent sequel that improves most of what the previous Turnip Boy game did. Tldr; Short bite-sized game that is full of charm, wit, and will entertain you easily. You should Play the previous one first so that you get the references and inside jokes. THE GOOD STUFF: + You rob a bank as a literal vegetable + This art-style is exquisite. From the enemies to the environment, it is a JOY to look at this game, and every visual developer's dream. It is BEAUTIFUL + The music is earworm-worthy and you'll find yourself humming some of the tracks + Something about it feels very RPG maker. It has the same magic. + Charming, and surprisingly funny, but you need the previous one to understand all of the references + Doesn't overstay its welcome with bloat. It's short and sweet + It's a little longer than the previous one, and has more content + SUPER completionist friendly, it can be done in a small amount of time + The weapon variety is better than many games out there THE BAD STUFF - I know it's part of the game's premise, but the timer per mission can be limiting in exploration. My guess is that this is on purpose since the game's map is rather small. - Something like the previous game's rogue-like mode would add something for the postgame. It's too bad to see it absent. - Since the rooms are randomized, you might end up reloading a run multiple times to get the room you need - If you change the default settings, such as making the game fullscreen or change the crosshair, they are back to the default once you boot the game back up It's a great franchise that has so much potential to go long term. Please don't change the art or music, it's great. Although, if you decided on a 3D dark and gritty parody FPS I wouldn't mind it too much. Easy 9.1/10

Turnip Boy Robs a Bank was a bit of a weird game for me. I had a lot of fun, but I didn't really get into the story's narrative. When I later played Escape from Duckove, I found myself reminded of this game, which shows I had enough fun to commit it to memory. The design and visuals are very unique and I loved it artistically. So apparently it's a good game? I guess so! :D

Great game until you 100% it. I can't get the "Steal the botanical bank" quest, even though I have stole the bank 3 times and gotten the achievement for it. The cutscene is unskippable aswell which means you have to sit there for 5 minutes each time. If I can't get that quest I also can't get "Complete all tasks" and "Collect all hats" as well as "Collect all photos". Just because of this minor bug it ruins the whole 100% experience. Seems like I am the only one with this problem so I don't know. Now I need to cheat the last 3 achievements because I can't complete a simple quest. 7/10 could've easily been a 9/10...

The tasks in this game are MUCH more annoying in this game than the first, since you can have a run where none of the right elevators show up. Has much better controls than the first too, since it's a shooter instead of a combat/exploration game.

So tired of being preached to about life issues by Jewish backgrounds, as jokes, as commentary, as political social experiments. I'm so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tired of it man, you can put every LGBT and BLM hat in some stupid turnip game but you cant even say Free Palestine. You people are committing a genocide and want to suck some black ♥♥♥♥ while pretending to be girls. Wtf is wrong with this world. The game isnt fun, its extremely repetitive, full of unfunny dialogue trying to fit into niches this person doesnt belong in, has a bugged final achievement, the final boss design wasnt fun or fair and overall dumb. Wont be buying another game from this team again, good luck with whatever Turnip boy game you make.

This might have become my favorite small game. Completion is only a few hours, took me just over 6 to get all achievements. So for a fun afternoon this is perfect. The game is filled with little food puns, and is overal just very whimsical. Even though you are a turnip, that is in fact robbing a bank. The artstyle is simple, yet clear and amazing. The soundtrack just shines, there is not a single song I dislike about it. Gameplay wise, it's barebones, and simplistic. But that is what makes it great. 1 button for attacking, 1 button for switching weapons and 1 button to trip. The rest is standard, move, aim, interact. Different weapons have different strengths and weaknesses, and it feels decently balanced. Progression wise is done very well as well. It's your standard Roguelite. So each run changes a little (map stay the same, but side areas change every round), progression throughout the map is done with items you must buy outside of the standard gameplay. With each round timed (timer can be increased up to 5 minutes, but timer running out does not mean round is instantly over) you are limited each time to what you can do. But that makes it great, as it forces you to try again and again. the short round time also means it is a perfect to pick up for a quick round when you only have like a maximum of 10 minutes. Overall, I love it! a perfect short game I keep coming back to.
