TLDR: Nails the cozy and relaxing vibe, but the shallow puzzle elements make this a simply boring experience. PROS: ➕Cozy/relaxing vibe ➕Hidden object and cleanup help break up the monotony CONS: ➖Repetitive ➖Lack of actual puzzle elements - objects can be placed anywhere with zero regard for purpose Content (Game world/Narrative) – [4/10] The game world consists of top-down levels where you can pivot the camera slightly. Basically, each level is a sort of cut-out, or slice, of a dollhouse. There are some small secrets found within the level goals, like find a toy, badge, or hat. The levels can often consist of multiple floors. There’s no exploration and many of the objects in the levels aren’t interactable, leaving the puzzles to be very simple. There is a small narrative that occurs naturally as you progress through levels and at the start of each level. The narrative is as happy-go-lucky as the game's vibe. It starts out sad with the main character churning away at corpo life, but then she finds her love for plants, opens a business, gets a family, ect. There’s not very much to the story, it’s just pointless cheerfulness Gameplay (Mechanics/Difficulty) – [3/10] The general gameplay loop consists of placing down objects within specific areas to score enough points to complete the level. The mechanics is where the game begins to lose me. It’s a simple cozy puzzle game, but there’s severe issues to how the puzzles actually function. The gist of the game is that you place plants in a sunny area, water area, neither, or both. Plants have needs as well as likes and dislikes so optimal placement is key for maximizing plant points. The issue I have with this is how ridiculous the placements are in respect to their surroundings. See that bed that I sleep on? Nope, it’s for plants now. Can’t go upstairs because there’s a plant blockade. Can’t sit in chairs, cause that’s where the plants sit now. For a game where the core mechanic is about placement and decorating, you can throw plants in any nonsensical location, which to me just seems counterintuitive if I’m being friendly, or lazy developing if I’m not. I did mention decorating, and there’s a bit of that. The levels give you optional goals to complete and most of them are small fun that breaks up the plant puzzle monotony. Things like unboxing things, or putting a game away, or setting up a table with food, or finding a hidden item. It’s small, but there’s some nice touches here. The difficulty is very easy and stems (pun intended) from the lack of friction around the puzzle mechanics. Perhaps that’s the intent of the game - to turn your sleeping space into a garden due to the casual/cozy nature (pun #2) of the game. So be it - there’s no fail stats and I think you can just pass the game by ignoring the puzzle completely and just placing enough plants anywhere regardless of anything. Technical (Graphics/Performance) – [5/10] Graphics are simple, I’d say PS2-era fidelity at best. It has a cartoony/colorful vibe that definitely showcases the cheerfulness of the game. I played on max settings and didn’t have any issues with performance. I noticed some small bugs, like if you place a plant on a ledge, it may drop through the ledge onto the floor. Nothing game breaking, but there can be some quirkiness around placement at times. 1440p @ 240hz | installed on SSD Audio – [5/10] Decent music, nothing mind-blowing. Like the graphics, it fits well into the cozy theme. No voice acting. Replay Factor (Longevity) – [3/10] Some small replay value. After ~11 stages of the story, you can play “Creative mode” which allows some additional gameplay. Still, the issue is the repetitiveness of simply choosing two plants and plopping them down, endlessly. Final Verdict – [3/10] I’m gonna be real, I don’t think Urban Jungle (UJ) is for me. I got it in a Humble Bundle and this isn’t the type of game I would have bought, but I decided to give it a fair shot. I do really like cozy games and tend to play them for a couple hours each night to wind down. Unfortunately, the way UJ’s mechanics work just left me bored. I explained in-depth above, so to simply summarize, the lack of any engaging puzzle elements completely sour the experience for me. There’s a difference between cozy and mindless, with UJ falling into the latter. It’s like organizing icons on your desktop - there’s no real reason where they end up placed because life goes on either way. Plus, I don’t like plants (I mean, they are okay, I just always end up killing them). I’ll try to end on a positive note and say that the music was okay, and I at least persevered enough to finish the game, but after a few hours in I was eager to leaf (pun #3?). I also liked how the goals were different enough to distract me from the plant plopping puzzles, or lackthereof. So overall, I cannot recommend this game. Sorry, but it’s just not for me. I’m just a stick in the mud (pun???) Recommend? (Price) No $12 is a steep price for a game with ~5 hours of content and with puzzle elements so shallow, if you’re interested, I strongly suggest waiting on a sale. Nesse jogo você acompanha uma história de uma garota e sua família, aprendendo sobre o que realmente é importante na vida enquanto você observa e arruma lugares importante para ela em diferentes momentos do tempo, o foco aqui é botânica, mas têm um pouco mais para organizar sempre e a parte das plantas não é punitiva: você não têm tempo ou limite, você só precisa arrumar o melhor lugar para cada planta, isso sem deixar de ser criativo, não existe uma resposta certa, do jogador mais preguiçoso ao amente de decoração, Urban Jungle pode agradar qualquer um. Very pretty but also pretty shallow. The plant placement mechanics are absolutely tacked on. Notably, many things love cacti and very little hate them and a plant can benefit from multiple copies of a loved plant. So, every level is trivially solved by placing a bunch of cacti together and surrounding them as close as possible by stuff that loves cacti. Problem is? This looks incredibly ugly. In a game that is fundamentally about decorating spaces, the mechanics fight this goal every step of the way. Also, while the story is kind of intriguing, it's also not what I would call cozy by any stretch. On the plus side, you can pet the cat.

4/10 like that game where you unpack and move in, but after you do that you add plants all over the place. - light and water system is janky - puzzle side of this is weak and doesnt get any harder with each level - sometimes when you are moving items the screen moves at the same time - sometimes you will set items behind objects or inside them and they cant be seen anymore

Pretty chill game, great to relax and kill some time! Positives: I enjoyed the level variety and how they reflected the story as you progress. The whole plant diary was a nice addition to add more of an incentive to try different plants. This also goes along side the currency system, whereby completing various task made the gameplay less monotonous. Negatives: The smoothness of snapping things into the right places was nonexistent and the love-hate feature had way too small of a radius to be practical. There was also a consistent bug where things would just clip and fall through the floor never to be seen again. Lastly, I really would have liked the ability to drag non-plant objects between floors to add more flexibility to customization.

画风很可爱，但是剧情没啥意思，玩法也是只是植物找角度放一起。有点过于简单了，玩一会就很无聊。而且最好通关的最好方法是一堆植物挤在一起，毫无美感。评价为不如搬家摆物品的那个游戏。

挺休闲挺放松的收纳类小游戏，画风还不错。根据植物对光照水分的要求以及对其他植物的喜恶进行摆放，有不同的场景和一点剧情，每个章节还有一些小任务。也有创意模式，可以在各个场景自由摆放各种植物和家具食物装饰之类。CDKey只要一元左右，挺划算的。

언패킹과 비슷한 코지 정리 게임 인줄 알았는데, 햇빛과 습기 조건이 붙으면서 예쁘게 배치하는게 사실상 불가능하다 정리도 제대로 안 되고, 온 집안에 깔려 있는 식물을 보면 뭔가뭔가임 심지어 스토리도 그냥저냥이라 정말 졸음 유발 수준의 게임 험블초이스 아니었으면 하다가 바로 환불각 봤을듯 * DLC 없어도 도전 과제는 다 깨짐 *
