Better than expected, worse than I hoped. Not a sequel to bloodlines, but a good fun action game; I enjoyed it, but kept thinking it could've been something better if the devs had more freedom to make the game they clearly wanted to make instead of bloodlines 2. Combat was good, story was good, open world and progression system is pretty boring, and performance is poor/okay. Received DLC for free as a part of a promotion from when the game was first announced, but have not played, bought the main game at half price. Solid 6.5/10 after all patches, ignoring the side content. I would recommend on sale of 50% off or more.

Clearly the Chinese Room didn't have the experience nor the vision to make a RPG that actually worth playing, rather than a Bloodlines sequel. The combat is tiring and super repetitive, the leveling system is just not interesting at all, the charactor building and progression is trash, and the combat encounters are just not fun to play most of the time. This game shares none of the DNA of the original bloodlines, and even the story is bad. The two stories lines are just equally bad, the modern day Seattle setting is not interesting, I can care less about what's going on, and the Fabien memory stuff is not helping the story telling at all, plus the gameplay during the 'detective mode' is just unbearable. The game only has one map to explore and just don't bother with exploring the map at all, not worth it. After all, we all know this game went through development hell and all that background noise, but still, nobody should suffer this much playing this half-assed game, not even the people who really enjoyed the original Bloodlines and just want anything at all bloodlines related. It's just a pure bad game.

Довели, пишу серьёзный отзыв....... Решительно не понял, почему эту игру настолько рьяно }{yecoc9IT. Начитался негативных рецензий и долгое время стремался выложить за неё свои шекели. По итогу всё же прикупил и вот вообще не пожалел. Буквально одна из самых атмосферных игр, в которые мне доводилось поиграть за этот год. Боёвка – просто смак. Крайне зрелищно, если комбинировать способности и использовать весь арсенал возможностей, а не в тупую спамить лкм. Импакт от ударов сочный, звуки ломания бошек яркие. Персонажи довольно приятные, сюжет тоже. Саунд-дизайн и музло е6yчие. За всё прохождение заметил только два бага (нпс застрял в заборе, пока убегал + во время питья крови голос нпс мог внезапно "сменить пол"). Хз, связано ли это с тем, что игру уже успели тыщу раз пофиксить (не следил за каждым апдейтом до покупки), но на данный момент такого огромного количества багов-лагов, как описывают остальные, совсем не заметил. Говорю это от лица любителя залезать абсолютно в каждую 3aJlyIIy и проваливаться в текстуры. Если вы не закостенелый шизофанбой первого Бладлайнса + у вас не начинается припадок из-за УЖАСНОЙ ПАВЕСТАЧКИ О ГОСПАДЕ В ИГРЕ ЕСТЬ ВОЗМОЖНОСТЬ РОМАНСИТЬ СВОЙ ПОЛ – очень советую попробовать хотя бы на зeлёнoм caйте. Но учитывайте, что оптимизация малость пpoë6aHa (стабильные пролаги во время переходов в здание/из здания, хотя мои конфигурации превышают рекомендованные). На слабых пк явно будет больно, особенно во время драчек. И на сайд-квесты каких-то колоссальных надежд не возлагайте, они зачастую скучные

The game is incomplete and dull, after a decade of development and years of patches it's still clearly unfinished. It's broken in ways that can't be fixed with patches or additions the whole foundation and plot needs to be thrown out, I had to try the game but I hope others wont listen to the curiosity.

If you judge Bloodlines 2 as a narrative action game with lite RPG elements instead of a sprawling, dense RPG like its predecessors, then it shines as one of the best urban vampire horror games that we've gotten in years. The characters are memorable, the mystery is engaging, and the pacing keeps you moving without feeling rushed. Combat is punchy and fun, with powers that actually change how you approach fights. Vertical movement and stealth options make exploration enjoyable. The city is gorgeous, dense, moody, and full of small details that reward slowing down and soaking in the various settings. I came in with low expectations because of the negative reviews and ended up loving the atmosphere, story, characters, and moment-to-moment gameplay. It felt like the vampire game Arkane studios should have made after Deathloop instead of Redfall. If you enjoy the neo-noir vampire setting of Vampire: The Masquerade tabletop rpg and can accept that this game is closer to Dishonored 2: Death of the Outsider and Deathloop than Bloodlines 1, then I highly recommend it.

Это не тройка, это осиновый кол. Пустой безжизненный мир, кланы статисты, история тянет максимум на серию из Санты Барбары. Носферату это полный провал. Прокачка ,инвентарь.... основные елементы РПГ кастрированы. Не спонсируйте плохие игры. Аминь

There is a recipe to really enjoy this game - buy it with a discount, set the difficulty to the easiest, play only the main quest while ignoring all side quests and don't think of it as a Bloodlines sequel. This way you get to enjoy a good walking (and punching) simulator that has a very good story and main quest, really good writing, interesting and well voiced characters and some really unexpected and cool plot twists. The rest - combat, open world, side quests, character progression - yeah, just ignore those and be the glass half full person.

As someone who deeply enjoyed the first game I am incredibly disappointed by Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2. After waiting something akin to six years for the game to finally be released despite having pre-ordered a copy in April of 2019 I find the content lackluster, and quite frankly find it insulting to expect players to pay $60 - $90 plus to get barely 40 hours of gameplay with all of the DLC included. The removal of Gangrel and Nosferatu as playable clans alongside the removal of all character customization outside of clothing and cosmetics leaves much to be desired and the story leaves me wanting. If fetch quests and the tedious tasks are your thing, you may enjoy the game. Hunting down blood resonance events loses its sparkle after about the fifth time you lure someone down an alley, making the whole mechanic feel more like a chore than anything but without slogging through them to unlock abilities at clan contacts your ability points are worthless. There were bits of the story I did enjoy, but not enough to justify the obscene price tag.
