This is a fact: "This save is from another version of the game and cannot be loaded." This is my opinion: Not recommend any PARADOX Interactive. Don't waste hours pouring into one Campaign saved file in Ironmode, with only 1 save allowed and then coming to the game a few days later to get this stupid message: "This save is from another version of the game and cannot be loaded." Sorry, that I am a human and don't play this game non-stop 24/7, to go: "Oh no problem, I will start the game a new, it only takes me 5 hours for the perfect set-up. It pisses me off, generally in all Paradox games (coming from a player with combined +1000 hours gameplay in all Paradox Developer gamers), that I cannot LOAD an old saved file game, because I quote: "This save is from another version of the game and cannot be loaded." Don't waste your time or your money on the game. I will downvote the game on every title I own, hope this will avoid some bloke wasting their hard earned money on this joy kill game. Don't waste money on the game, if you want to play Multiplayer you better BUY ALL DLC... 300€ ??? lol... hell no. Do not recommend, this is literally a waste of your time to play and without satisfying results of a finished game... over the years I played all games on-off. But don't bother saving the games... you cannot access them at all after 1 month. it just ruins the fun. A Campaign alone can take easy +30 hours REAL TIME just to not finish it. Go play some games where a saved file will not get access/load next month. Any strategy game has complex mechanics and it takes mutiple hours to learn and understand - like anything in life. They are changing and adding a lot of stuff... "to keep the game fresh". A game should be fun and simple enough to enjoy; this is not; they are introducing non-stop multiple new mechanics no casual player. Have been playing Total War titles as well, don't have that issue there, search it: Total War Official I ♥♥♥♥ you not, I played a Total War saved file 3 years old, finished the Campaign this Summer; so you can stick it Paradox. Why did it work in Total War and not in Paradox? They don't try to update the game non-stop for no reason. The only way this would be fixed: Reprogram your game to apply the changes to your savedfiles!!! or is it too hard for your IT department to figure out how to do this software tweak, I have a solution maybe ask your AI assistance you are using to program games: "how can we update the game in a way that saved player files will not be lost and load properly to apply the changes to the saved file of the game." I know it will consume a lot of tokens. just do it. fix this issue that's been bugging me for years, I kept quiet for too long and just took it as: "that's how life is, should accept it and die." 0/10 Single Player Campaign 0/10 Multiplayer - you want to play a casual Multiplayer? lol good luck agaisnt the tryhards and no-lifers you will get destroyed 0 fun. TL;DR: Do not buy. Not recommend. Waste of time & money. Better player other games.
