It's a fun little puzzle game with a nice aesthetic. I would advice to turn off the voice audio, because the voiceacting is quite annoying and the story isn't that good.

As a programmer myself, I am jealous of how technically impressive this game is. The puzzles are not very challenging, but the mechanics are so out-of-the-box that it's still fun to play. The story feels arbitrary and doesn't support the gameplay at all. I mean, a machine to solve climate change in a puzzle game about perspective? Just why??? Though it still manages to make me cry at the ending. Despite these flaws, the mechanic alone is unique enough for me to recommend this game. 9/10.

What a stunning game, which is both beautiful and incredibly unique. As soon as I saw this game I was so excited about it. I saved this game for quite a while, telling myself I was “saving a good game for a rainy day”. The day finally came, and despite probably hyping it up inside my head for literal years at that point, it still didn’t disappoint. Conceptually, this game is just fantastic. The novelty never wore off for me, every single time I was still mystified by the main mechanic. I particularly love when game design feels like a stroke of genius. I had the same feeling from the seamless looping hallways of Antichamber back in the day, Superliminal’s item size changing mechanic, and Maquette's recursive map. Viewpoint definitely adds itself to that particular history book of mine. This game has such beautiful soft colour palettes, making it so fun and satisfying just to look around. The game has a kind of hub world, which breaks the game into their respective chapters. Each chapter is essentially designed around a particular character, so the style of each is fairly unique. I love interior design, despite knowing nothing about it, but found myself curious multiple times of what design styles influenced each section. It seems as though a lot of care and thought were put into each area. Then, if that wasn’t enough, the photo mechanic peppers in different art styles and filters every now and then, that further adds visual intrigue to the map, making it so satisfying and exciting. First jumping into the game, you’re met very quickly with some of the games voice acting. I won’t lie, I didn’t enjoy most of the voice acting as for me, it was a bit over the top. I winced a tad, reminded myself that this was an indie game, and just figured this was a part of the game I was going to need to push past. On the flipside though, the music was pretty enjoyable, as it’s very chill and relaxing. At times it was borderline meditative, which is decent music for thinking through puzzles. The puzzles have a wide variety to them that continuously keeps the game fresh and interesting. I think they really utilised the photo mechanic well, getting all they could from the concept. From aiming to place something in the world, to purposely taking part of it away; having a free camera, to relying on cameras fixed in place; and even using timers to sequence events to help you get by. This game felt like it kept giving, and there was one mechanic in particular I was so impressed with, but don’t want to spoil here as I really enjoyed discovering it in-game. Usually in games, getting stuck is just so frustrating to me. There was a few moments in this game where being stuck, and just kind of messing around, actually felt rewarding. I had a few “oh my god!” moments that were very satisfying for my dumb little brain. I noticed that after X amount of time a hint will appear in the menu as well, which although I didn’t use, I appreciated as I don’t think I’ve played many first-person puzzle games that actually give you hints. When it comes to the story in this game, I like huge parts of its concept, and I think I kind of see what the story was trying to do, but I can’t say I fully understand the story. I think it could have been a good story if it was revised, really scrutinised and had been made to be a little more concise. As it stands, it just felt a little all over the place and full of holes. To a point it felt good, and felt like it was working up to something, then kind of derailed and went off in an unexpected direction, and then the conclusion was just a bit… confusing? It didn’t really make things any clearer, and didn’t feel like a satisfying outcome to the journey as a whole. Overall, I think it was alright, it was nowhere close to bad, but it definitely missed the mark a little for me. I have noticed with this genre that because the part I value is the puzzles, generally the story can miss and I’ll still rate the game quite highly. If you’re here for the puzzles you’ll have a great time, but if you’re here for a narrative, lower your expectations. Overall, I really enjoyed this game. It wasn’t perfect, but for the puzzles and for it’s level of uniqueness I can definitely see myself playing it again in future. Achievements: Included Very doable, the hub/level select is hugely helpful and there was nothing too tedious to complete. This is a game where I really wished I could select a meh option instead of a flat like/dislike. If you are not big into puzzle games I think you will enjoy it, it actually has a fun gimmick and nice visuals. However as someone that likes puzzle games, while the main mechanic is a fun one it is the only puzzle mechanic in the game. You will see very fast that the pics you take are NOT actually scaled to your perspective. It acts more like a copy/paste option in blender used from the first person view. This, combined with the puzzles never actually getting hard, makes the game play more like a gimmicky platformer than a puzzle game. As for the story, it really does feel like they just cobbled together aspects a puzzle platformer game's story would have but never actually developed any of it. You wont really lose anything by disabling the voiceover and skipping all text in the game. Overall it is worth a play if it is on sale, but you will be disappointed if you are jumping in hoping for a puzzle game with a unique mechanic.

Вау! Игра, удивляющая как концептом, так и атмосферой. Финал тронул до глубины души. Прекраснейшая игра всем рекомендую!

Game was very fun! The puzzles were not as hard, but that doesn't matter as much, as just figuring out solutions was so much fun. Playing around with the given puzzle pieces can be so silly. There are also a lot of hidden fun things, from random photos to enter to collectables that I just didn't care about too much. I merely did all levels and the optional challenges. Sometimes optional fun stuff is hidden in places that one would never think of looking around. Story? Well, I went into the game not expecting much from the story, I did not actually read the notebooks that they left behind aside from 1 or 2. But a lot of story is given in audio format, and that was neat to listen to while just looking around. If you want to know what's actually going on aside from the base level story, if you want the deeper lore, or, well, just lore I guess, the full story, you should probably read all the things given to you. TLDR: Came for puzzles Enjoyed Puzzles Ended up enjoying story too I recommend a lot --- I got game on sale, even if game is short, I think it's worth.
