I've recently replayed this game on Primarch difficulty, and it still holds up. The narrative is not that deep, but it is pretty enjoyable and captivating. Visually, the game also looks nice after all those years, the VAs are solid as well. Nothing to complain about. It can get tiresome due to large enemy HP pool, but it's not crucial at all. One thing I'd like to highlight is the corruption mechanic in DoW CR. You have visual changes, special chaos equipment, powers, etc. Funnily enough, it's one of the best games when it comes to "being corrupted in exchange of power" fantasy and flavour.

Blast from the past Nothing to say to Warhammer fans, You know what this game is, you know it's flaws. To everyone else, it is not an RTS it is a story driven squad tactics game. Not a great one but it provides enough fun to keep you busy. A bit more story driven than the previous, With the new corruption feature it forces you to use squads you would not usually. A good feature.

Dawn of war II is a good game. Chaos rising is a ridiculous joke. The Primarch difficulty makes absolutely no sense compared to the original *Dawn of War II*. The player deals almost no damage—especially in the first missions—yet is as fragile as glass. At the same time, the game swarms you with dozens of enemies, like a plague of locusts. The Primarch difficulty in *Chaos Rising* is broken compared to the original game. There is a significant lack of progression. Even when you acquire better gear, you don't really feel the difference. That was present in the original game, and it represents a fundamental difference (or problem). Basically every map is a boss fight, which kills the original vibe. Importing your profile from the original game has zero impact. You’ve got squads already at level 20 and a legendary weapon dealing more damage than anything from *Chaos Rising*—and what do you get as a reward after several battles? Yeah, whatever; here are 10 Heretic Guards (the weakest enemy unit)—go ahead and die. In reality, the game just swarms you with five times as many units that soak up ammo like sponges—taking no damage—while your squads get wiped out instantly. Ahem... In the original *Dawn of War*, the Primarch difficulty is a tough, punishing challenge—a properly and competently balanced difficulty setting. In *Chaos Rising*, that is not the case at all; it is a complete joke rather than a real challenge.
