What the Fog

1 / 7

What the Fog answers the age-old question: What would happen if you and a friend were swallowed by a cursed board game? You’d get a 2-person co-op roguelite filled with magic powers, non-stop action, and lots and lots of monsters – that’s what. Learn to use your new abilities and work together as you run, jump, and shoot your way through swarms of enemies, collecting Bloodpoints, repairing Generators, and unlocking exit doors in this chaotic game from the world of Dead by Daylight.

FOG BUDDIES Teamwork is the name of the game. Or it would be if it weren’t already What the Fog . Point is monster killing is always better together.

Choose between Dead by Daylight’s Dwight, Claudette, or Feng Min and strategize your upgrades to build loadouts that complement each other. Then stay in the action even after you die, helping your partner tough it out until they can revive you.

MONSTER MASH Everything you see is out to kill you. The least you can do is return the favor. Destroy swarms of enemies and take down bosses to earn Bloodpoints. Platform across dangerous terrain to find and repair Generators. Activate their runes to upgrade your character. Survive and get the Fog out!

DON’T BE AFRAID We get it, roguelites can be intense! Luckily What the Fog’s combat and upgrades are easy to grasp, and its 8 different difficulty settings let you find the perfect challenge no matter your skill level. Focus on the fun of quick, exciting runs across increasingly wild, randomly generated levels.

the game is unfinished. It felt like it was designed for a multiplayer/co-op experience and with that in mind the lackluster single player experience starts adding up. it has 8 difficulty modes that feel completely redundant, the reason for this is that it only offers 3 characters and once you've played all 3 it has nothing new to offer. As you increase the difficulty the enemies become more bullet spongy, but nothing else changes in terms of their variety or attack pattern. And if you want to unlock all achievement it's required to complete all difficulty modes. the only silverling is that it was fun playing co-op but that's subjective

Run around as some of the most well-known characters from the hit game Dead by Daylight, killing monsters with your special powers as a team. You and one other person can enjoy time away from DBD but still repair those gens, gather blood points, and sun from a monster or 10. Get through each wave to complete the game. 23 achievements to acquire, and teamwork is needed if you want to survive, if you die its okay, unless your team mate dies before you can respawn. Choose wisely on what cards may help you the most after each round; you can only make one choice.

After 18 hours of tirelessly, and I mean TIRELESSELY, achievement hunting this game: We (Me and my partner) have done it. I brought What the Fog nearly three months ago during the Steam Summer Sale leading up to LAN because I found out from browsing that Behaviour Interactive has more than one spin-off game that isn't dating the killers. This is a Rougelite game that has you progressing through levels by accumulating bloodpoints from enemies to power up five generators. After 3 stages, you go to a level where you heal and prepare for one of the few bosses in the game. This is on loop for three times, so in total there are 15 stages (9 Normal Stages, 3 Healing Stages, 3 Boss Stages). It doesn't feel tedious at the start as during your runs, you'll unlock more items, and character (yes, one. not plural) to feel the runs feeling fresh. Overall, it's a fun game that's worth the £4.29 or sale price I got it for (My partner got it for 12 mexican pesos, go figure) Now, over than the underlying issue that this games' support has been abandoned, that it feels like a cash grab over a standalone game, and to be honest it was disappointing that they've not added more content to this game (e.g. other characters like David or Meg): Achievement Hunting this game is... exhausting. 99% of achievements are pretty easy to get. Play the game and progress through the difficulties Unlock new characters by beating the game as one of the two normal characters Die three times in a run (which thinking about this now, this requires you to have a plus one) The achievement for you to complete the game on the hardest difficulty (Terrified) is the 1% that's like going to the supermarket and your mother bumping into someone who she hasn't seen since the fall of Constantinople in 1453. We (Me and my partner) were on runs that were 30 minutes. We were on runs that were 50 minutes. The longest run we got onto was 80 minutes and that wasn't even the run that got us the achievement in the end. It a war of attrition over a war of power to achievement hunt this game, and I don't think you can complete this game with two people playing at the same time. We managed to complete the game because my partner had the bold idea to die instantly and support me with the death perks (So for Feng: Healing Pools and Charm) as I got every gen like I was wearing the Infinity Gauntlet. It gets a recommendation from me, and also a prayer for those who wish to embark on the same journey as me and my partner.

25 hours that I won't get back, finished this game 100%, but at what cost? my sanity? my mouse? the record that I spent 3 months doing this achivement hunt? 12 pesos for 25 hours of gaming with my partner, it is an interesting way to spend time.

I think it’s worth the price judging by the content available, sooo if you’re a DBD fan, try it! You won’t regret it, trust me.
