Yakuza 3 Remastered is a great game. There are some pain points in this game like the fact that the enemies always block relentlessly and that the story pacing is rather slow. However, I still do think that the story is rather enjoyable and they all make sense since Kiryu is taking care of an orphanage. I also do think that Mine is one of the coolest antagonist and his story runs even deeper once you have played Yakuza Kiwami 3. As always, the substories and side-quests like Mack's Revelations are always top-notch, and always a treat to unlock. The achievements are a pain to unlock though, especially the one requiring to pick up trash at the beach. Overall, this game is still a strong entry in the series, definitely will have fond memories of this one.

I will not forgive RGG for unlisting this game for that "remake". it has my favorite type of combat, good story, great music, and Kiryu (expressive)

Yakuza 3 Remastered clearly shows its age mechanically, but its heart remains untouched. The shift to Okinawa and Kiryu’s life running the orphanage provides some of the most wholesome, emotional character moments in the entire series. However, the combat has aged roughly—enemies block constantly, making battles feel tedious rather than satisfying. If you can push past the clunky gameplay and technical step back after Kiwami 2, there’s a deeply memorable story underneath. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ 3.5/5

O combate e o balanceamento é horroroso, qualquer lutar com +2 inimigos se torna um inferno, mas fora isso é um bom jogo!

despite its bad reputation this is probably my favourite yakuza game, up there with 5. it's really such a shame that you can't buy it by itself anymore

Yakuza 3 tem uma excelente história, do jeito que você já está acostumado, quando se refere à franquia Yakuza! Não deixarei meus pensamentos subjetivos em relação à qual yakuza é melhor ou não em questão de história, mas sem dúvidas Yakuza 3 é perfeito em questão de escrita. Contudo, sinto que suas subestórias não são tão envolventes quanto às dos jogos anteriores, mas também são boas e divertidas! Os personagens são ótimos, todos os personagens são importantes e contém sua influência no desenvolvimento da história, o orfanato é maravilhoso, e a chegada de Okinawa também é excelente! Entretanto, cuidado! O japão nunca foi tão perigoso, meu deus do ceu, cada esquina é um gangster furioso querendo tua pobre carteira, então são muitas, mas muitas, mas muitas batalhas no decorrer de suas caminhadas pelas cidades, sinto que até mais do que precisava, isso me cansou um pouco, sendo sincero. Sua jogabilidade, no entanto, é bem datada se for comparar com os Kiwami, acho que os Kiwami te deixam mal acostumados para este, contudo, hoje temos um aparentemente lindo remake, que eu não vou jogar, pois há algumas polemicas que me desanimaram muito, e preferi seguir com minha jornada no remastered e sua jogabilidade um tanto travada. A porradaria é o seu melhor, tratando de jogabilidade, mecânicas e sistemas bem simples, mas um simples funcional. Enfim, sou um cara que curte boas histórias, e este jogo entrega isto muito bem, então valeu muito a pena! Recomendo 100%!

This is definitely my second fav yakuza game by a long shot and I know damn well that may be a hot take so I am going to go over the stuff I did not like first and obvious stuff. The constant blocking from the remastered port does get ridiculous at times and honestly is frustrating when you're going somewhere and get thrown into a fight that takes longer than it needs to because of its blocking but I personally think it's not too bad the majority of the time I think it adds some challenge to the game and encourages you to get stronger upgrades for kiryu by playing substories. Bosses that whenever you hit a combo on them do the stun ability by pushing you back which is BAD especially with lau ka long But honestly If you play with the mindset of accepting the challenge it becomes quite fun to learn combos and even tho Lau ka long is the reincarnation of hitler himself and is almost as bad as the kiwami 1 final boss fights with the 2 agents and that one dude somehow both yakuza kiwami 1 and yakuza 3 are still up there because of their overwhelming pros. Now time to go other the overwhelming positive. Kiryu owing a orphanage and working with haruka is honestly my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fav part of this games story and had me tearing up with kiryu bonding with them and seeing kiryu actually happy with his dad fit made me love this games story so much more and okinawa has to be my fav city in terms of vibes in yakuza it genuinely made me so happy seeing kiryu raising these kids up with better lives then he had when he was younger and had me scared when in the story morning glory was destroyed but morning glory being rebuilt and everybody thriving (well almost everyone.) made me so happy. The ryudo family has to be my top 3 familys in yakuza just because of how chill and likeable characters they are. Each one of them the boss Shigeru Nakahara, Mikio Aragaki and Rikiya Shimabukuro all have elements in the story that I really love and seeing them grow and bond with the children in morning glory after there ominous stuff in the beginning was really smth some of my fav moments were shigeru wanting to be kiryus oath brother which I found really sweet at the end when kiryu sort of just accepts he wont let his kindness go and lets him keep calling him his brother and the substory with mikio and his father was really wholesome too the mute girl was also cool aswell another reason why I love shigeru so much but none of them are as close to me as certian somebody was. Before I talk about how much I loved the villain's I want to talk about my personal fav character in this game and maybe top 5 in all of yakuza I have played thus far rikiya I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ loved him he was such a goat his change from a thug to somebody kiryu held close to him was so good to watch seeing his tattoo being finished in the substory of him in kamarucho was sweet to because it was the same artist kiryu had and his care and love for the kids and his family in morning glory was so good honestly the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ goat MY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GOAT. and then they took him from me. You have no idea how upset I was during and after that cutscene I was considering stopping the game entirely matter of fact im taking a break from yakuza after this because ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I was crying seeing him die "Just... promise me you won't let that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... Don't let him win." I could not hold it in such a great character dying like that genuinely brought tears and I have not felt something like that in a yakuza game such despair and misery it compared to some of my personal fav deaths that made me cry my eyes out like future gohan (dbz) or arthur morgan (Rdr2) I will miss you king I will miss him through every yakuza game. Now time for mine and wesker from re5 apparently. Some of the most fun and complex villains thus far in yakuza with obvious exceptions like nishiki because NOBODY lives up to him imo But lets start with wesker. He was such a fun change of pace and the fact he speaks goofy english lines his uncanny resemblance to re5 wesker like seriously they are IDENTICAL and he was just such a fun boss to fight too I enjoyed every time he was on screen and even tho he was kind of a one shot villain he was still a likeable and cool villain. Now mine he's a mixed bag every fibre of my being hated him Because of the ♥♥♥♥ he did but I got too give it to him he was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ brilliant villain who offered complex ideals with the state of the world only caring about money or his childhood being like kiryu's just he went down the wrong path and his chemistry with daigo is what made it so tragic for me I can never forgive him since he is responsible for the goats death but GOD was he a good villain. yakuza 3 is a 9/10 super enjoyable substories, story, characters, setting and just everything this game would be perfect if it got a ACTUAL GOOD REMASTER UNLIKE KIWAMI 3 ♥♥♥♥ YOU KIWAMI 3

For a Yakuza game, it's quite rough, but it's still a decent game in general, and the setting is good. However, the combat is AWFUL and none of the substories really drew me in.
