Everything about the game makes it seem like there's a PvE aspect to it, there is, but you have no choice in the end to engage in PvP. So really new players just exist to be farmed by veterans.

Albion is not a game you come to for a vacation. You come knowing that sooner or later, you will have to fight. I started in 2024 completely alone, with no guild, no friends and no idea how the game worked. Today I have 1,600+ hours, and it is the game I have the most recorded playtime on Steam. I strongly recommend it. But not to everyone. Albion’s greatest strength is freedom. You can focus on PvP, PvE, gathering, fishing, crafting, refining, trading, transporting, factions, dungeons, open world, solo play or huge guild content. Some people mostly craft and trade; others live for PvP. There is no single correct way to play. Its learning curve is unusual: most systems are not hard by themselves, but there are hundreds of them. Builds, counters, economy, tiers, enchantments, maps, mounts, routes, factions, abilities... After 1,600 hours I am still learning. At 200 hours, you have barely scratched the surface. That matters because Albion punishes bad decisions hard. At first I avoided red and black zones. I played blue, then yellow, did faction warfare, learned PvP without losing my gear, built my economy, and only then moved into full-loot content. Today, almost everything I do is in black zone. A lot of negative reviews say: “I went into black zone and five people killed me,” “guilds control everything,” “I lost all my gear.” Yes. That happens. That is Albion. The mistake is expecting a traditional MMO. In black zone, the player riding past you may be telling four friends on Discord where you are. Simply continuing straight instead of changing route can get you killed. I have killed much better-geared players because they made bad decisions, and died to worse-geared players because they understood their build and mine better. In Albion, knowledge often matters more than gear. You also need risk management. If losing one set would ruin you, that set is too expensive. In full-loot content, gear should not feel like a permanent possession: it should feel like ammunition. Wear what you can afford to lose and replace. Can you play safely? Yes. But a huge part of Albion sits behind a PvP wall. Blue zones are safe but limited and low-tier; much of the Royal Continent is yellow or red, and the entire Outlands is black zone. You can avoid full-loot, but if you want the whole game, you eventually have to accept it. Is it pay to win? Not in the traditional sense. Paying speeds progression up and Premium helps, but Premium can also be bought with in-game currency. You can spend real money on an expensive set and donate it five minutes later to someone who simply knows how to play better. Money buys time; it does not buy knowledge. My two biggest complaints: 1. Solo / small-scale content. Albion allows solo play, but heavily favors groups. If seven organized players catch you alone, there usually is no fight: there is an execution. Experience helps you avoid many of these situations, but I still wish there were more meaningful content designed for solo players and small groups. To those that know about the game, yes, you can go to mists but people go there hyper geared since they won't get 5v1 (Usually). And to ensure fairness yo can try corrupted dungeons to go 1v1 with IP (Item Power) Cap to ensure both fighters are "equal" and is skill based but the rewards are... let's say I would be happier receiving nothing than what I get in corrupteds. So, guilds are usually a most but if you are a lone wolf, it's tough out there 2. Bots, scouts and cheats. In a game where you can transport millions and lose everything, disposable scouts or situations where groups seem to know exactly where you are or what you are carrying are especially frustrating and it keeps happening. Even with those problems, Albion remains one of the most interesting MMORPGs I have played. It is not friendly. It is not always fair. It will not protect you from your own mistakes. That is exactly why surviving an ambush, winning a fight you should have lost, or escaping with millions in your inventory feels so rewarding. If you want an MMO where you can switch your brain off and death barely matters, Albion may not be for you. If you want a sandbox where your decisions, knowledge, economy, preparation and ability to adapt genuinely matter, it is excellent. Highly recommended. Just make sure you know what you are getting into.

The solo player experience in Albion Online is one of the worst I've ever experienced. The game is really fun at first, but once you get deeper into it, you quickly realize that most of the meaningful content is designed for groups and guilds. The game offers solo content, but it is an illusion than a real alternative. I also find the islands and Premium system misleading. Without Premium, farming on your island can easily become a waste of time and money (milions). The game encourages you to buy an island and then pushes you towards Premium to make it worthwhile. I've done 50+ solo dungeons of decent tier and quality, and the loot was honestly terrible. The time spent doing them (days) was barely worth it. A few hours of fishing could give me more than double the profit. And if fishing is one of the most consistent ways to make money as a solo player, then something feels wrong. I actually like the difficulty of the game. The Black Zone is dangerous, and losing everything when you die makes it intense. That's not my problem. The problem is that, as a solo player, you spend too much time struggling for too little reward. If you have friends or join a guild, I'm sure Albion can be a great game. But if you want to play mostly solo, run from here. I had more frustration than fun playing solo. I don't consider Albion pay-to-win, but Premium gives you a huge advantage in progression, and the way the game is structured makes it feel almost necessary if you want to progress efficiently. Great potential for solo players, but for me, the solo experience is simply not good at all

despues de mas de 500 horas solo puedo decir...... en efecto Albión Online es un mmorpg no lineal, en el que escribes tu propia historia sin limitarte a seguir un camino prefijado. Explora un amplio mundo abierto con 5 biomas únicos, todo cuanto hagas tendrá su repercusión en el mundo, con la economía orientada al jugador de Albión, los jugadores crean prácticamente todo el equipo a partir de los recursos que consiguen, el equipo que llevas define quien eres, cambia de armas y armadura para pasar de caballero a mago, o juega como una mezcla de ambas clases. Aventúrate en el mundo abierto frente a los habitantes y las criaturas de Albión, inicia expediciones o adéntrate en mazmorras en las que encontrarás enemigos aún más difíciles, enfréntate a otros jugadores en encuentros en el mundo abierto, lucha por los territorios o por ciudades enteras en batallas tácticas, relájate en isla privada, donde podrás construir un hogar, cultivar cosechas y criar animales, únete a un gremio, todo es mejor cuando se trabaja en grupo. Adéntrate ya en el mundo de Albión y escribe tu propia historia. eso hasta que te unes a un gremio y te queman tu economía :)

It would be a nice realxing game without the PvP. I would like to play a game like Albion with Raids, Dungeons, Content but without the hussle of beening farmed by a group of PvP Players and loose your stuff. Was playing MMORPGs with PvP(RvR) when I was young, now I'm old and just want to relaxe without the hussle of a competition. If you like me, don't waste your time on Albion. (sadly)

ta bueno porque lo instale, lo jugue y a los 30 min me culearon, me robaron y me dejaron en pelota. pero luego tu puedes culeartelos a ellos y dejarlos en bolas para que luego estes farmeando y te culeen de vuelta. en fin buenisimo 10/10

Joguei anos atrás, mas pra jogar solo não tem condições. Muito gank, acaba sendo perda de tempo. Passar um bom tempo farmando pra vir 3 caras te matar e você perder absolutamente tudo. Mas essa é a proposta do jogo, eles não estão errados. Errado fui eu em tentar jogar
