I thought Aperture Desk Job was just going to be a short little game made to show off what Valve could do with the Steam Deck. I was wrong. The gameplay is simple. You mostly sit at a desk, press buttons, and do your job. It sounds incredibly boring on paper. Somehow, Valve turns that into one of the funniest and most entertaining gaming experiences I've had in a while. The writing is fantastic. The characters are ridiculous, the jokes come out of nowhere, and the whole game constantly finds new ways to surprise you. I wasn't expecting to get so invested in a game about literally doing paperwork. What I love most is how much personality the game has. It doesn't need a huge open world or hundreds of hours of content. It knows exactly what it wants to be, and it delivers that experience perfectly. And then there's the humor. There were multiple moments where I just stopped playing because I was laughing at how stupid—and somehow brilliant—the situation had become. I've played games with bigger worlds, longer campaigns, and far more complicated gameplay. I don't remember most of them. I'll remember Aperture Desk Job. Some games try to impress you with scale. Aperture Desk Job just sits you down at a desk and somehow makes that unforgettable. 100% recommended.

Прикольная технодемка на пол часика, про унитазы. Фанатам Valve и конкретно Portal очень зайдёт. Хотелось бы от Valve полноценных игр, но дают только такие огрызки.

Lovely little demo that showcases the depths to which you can customize your controls on a steamdeck. Everyone with a steamdeck should take the 30mins to play through and learn about what the system can do. However this should really also work for the new steam controller. I'm pretty surprised they didnt update it for the controller's launch. Gonna leave my review negative with the hopes that they eventually come back and do that.

Short game with funny dialouge and charming jokes. being a technical showcase for the steam deck, it does requite a controller, but you don't need specifically a steam deck to play. Worth at least one playthrough

Вполне прикольный и задорный шутер буквально на один вечер, который идеально демонстрирует возможности Steam Deck. Короткая, но от демки многого и не надо.

i dont think i understood the game really, but the little story was funny. you just press buttons and the story goes on.. though does that mean that johnson is sitting in the pits of the labs somewhere singing with toilets while in portal 2 we are travelling through the old labs and listening to his pre recorded messages? just fascinating xD . im just happy to have myself into the portal world again
