anyone looking to purchase this game seeing all the negative reviews abt its performance... Activision recently released several updates to older titles including aw... this includes all known issues, security problems, and system updates(older games use older systems ex. 32bit to 64bit). other titles that have been updated include, ghosts, mw2/3 old mw2019 mw2 new as well as ww2, cold war.

It keeps crashing for no apparent reason in between missions. I would NOT recommend buying this game unless its on sale otherwise its just a total waste of money because this is a game that came out in 2014 so the devs would've had more than enough time to either fix the game or price it reasonably, and NEITHER has been done so save your money.

This review is only based on the campaign, because it's the only part i played, but i must say, this game has one of the best campaigns in this entire franchise. I dont know why so many people didnt like this campaign. The story is good and the gameplay has very great moments and is incredibly fun. I liked the exo suit mechanics, they spiced up the gameplay so that every mission felt different. Can reccomend.

I played only the Campaign. Overall not too bad. It's a typical COD game but introduces some nice grenades like threat tracer that reveal enemy positions. However it's a pain to keep switching between different grenades. This game introduces a little too much complexity to the gameplay with different exosuit abilities and grenade options, and most of the weapons feel and fire the same. I can see why people didn't like it at the time. The AI companions are also supremely unhelpful as usual as enemies will just ignore them and attack you from the side or behind while your allies ignore them while sitting right next to them. Had the same issues in Battlefield 4 campaign as well. Performance-wise it works fine in Borderless fullscreen mode. In fullscreen mode there was horrible stuttering and performance issues. Anti aliasing will tank performance if you use SMAA and also if your supersampling option is set too high (like 16x). The cutscenes with Kevin Spacey were the highlights and he steals the show with them.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare felt like a great action blockbuster back in the day - fast, flashy, and genuinely fun. Revisiting it years later feels a bit strange: it still plays well, but very much reflects the era of exosuits and futuristic shooters.
