A good game to spend some time with. The combat is probably the strongest part of the experience. It is fast, responsive, and entertaining enough to carry the game all the way to the end. Exploration also works well, and overall I enjoyed playing it. There were a few things that felt a little awkward or uneven, but nothing serious enough to really hurt the experience. My main feeling after finishing the story was simply that I had seen enough. I still have a few achievements left, but from what I can tell, getting them would not really change the way I see the game, so I do not feel much motivation to go for 100%. It is not a game I would call amazing, but it was enjoyable from beginning to end. A solid game with fun combat, and a good way to spend some time.

I have a question for you: Are you a furry? Yeah, neither am I, but this game was pretty fun. Nothing revolutionary, but it's solid and has killer art direction.

I played this game back in 2013 on my Xbox 360 which I got free through Xbox Live Gold, getting to experience this game again was very nostalgic and reminded me when I played dishonored on the Xbox as well. Overall I still love this game, the voice acting really carries alongside the art. It's even crazier this was done by a one man army!!! If you wanna play a game where you get to combo into the sky and chuckle at some bits I recommend this game hard.

I'm probably one of the few people who bought this game purely because I'd enjoyed Dean's work on Jazz Jackrabbit 2 and Alexander Brandon's work on... quite a few games that made my childhood. (Unreal, UT99, Jazz 2, and Bejeweled 3, my beloveds...) I came in expecting a decent romp with a good soundtrack, and nothing more. There was a lot more. A whole lot more. Combat. Puzzles. Story. And a funny orange bat-thing that wants to bite people's faces off. (Not what I expected out of Fidget, but there ya go.) It was a thoroughly enjoyable game all the way to completion and never felt stale at any point. I'd hazard it to be more of a worthy successor to the Jazz series than basically anything else, and for that, I'm grateful.

Eu tentei, juro que tentei. Forcei a minha "lata velha" ao limite, mas não há paciência humana que resista a uma otimização dessas. Para quem for ler este comentário antes de comprar ou jogar, aqui vai o meu aviso real de sobrevivência: • O Jogo Fechando Sozinho: Foram mais de 10 crashes seguidos. O jogo simplesmente desiste de existir e fecha na sua cara no meio da gameplay. • Os Malditos Pop-ups de Troféu: Você racha o bico de jogar, cumpre os requisitos e cadê a conquista? Sumiu, bugou, não aparece de jeito nenhum. • Travadas de Congelar a Alma: A cada transição ou combo, o jogo dá aquelas travadas violentas que você tem certeza que o PC ou o console vai explodir. Dá tempo de ir passar um café enquanto o frame rate tenta se recuperar. É uma pena, de verdade. A arte é bonita, a proposta é legal, mas eu desisto. Não consegui terminar porque o próprio jogo me impediu de jogar. Se você tem um hardware que não seja da NASA ou se simplesmente preza pela sua saúde mental, passe longe ou prepare-se para passar raiva. Adeus, Dust. Fidget, leve seus pop-ups bugados para bem longe de mim! 💀❌

What an amazing game this is. All the visuals are timeless and great. While the story isn't the best, it's a good enough hook to make you wander. The characters are likable and some even lovable. The combat is sometimes simply, but rewards a small bit of mastery and is fun and interactive. The puzzles in the game are typically easy, but some can be a bit of a struggle in terms of execution rather than knowledge of the solution. For sure this is a game to play if you have a love for Indie games that shook the world when they came out.

Dust: An Elysian Tail is a satisfying action hack and slash metroidvania with polished, cartoony visuals. There is a decent amount of secrets and loot to discover, along with familiars, or pets, which is a pretty cool addition. The pets are actually crossovers from other games, which makes finding them even more interesting. There is also a good variety of attacks and combos, which helps keep the gameplay from feeling stale. The combat feels smooth and fluid, and your companion is very compassionate and expressive, which gives the characters more personality. The story is heartfelt and well written, and the lore is pretty interesting as well. Overall, Dust: An Elysian Tail is a good hack and slash game if you're into that kind of gameplay, especially when combined with exploration and metroidvania elements.
