Final Fantasy IV
The title first debuted in 1991 as the fourth installment in the FINAL FANTASY series. Wildly popular thanks to its unique characters and dramatic storylines, it went on to be ported to many different platforms.
FINAL FANTASY IV was the first title to introduce the Active Time Battle (ATB) system, which has become synonymous with the series. It also saw the introduction of the Augment system, which enabled the transfer of abilities from other characters and gave players an edge in battles.

Having to mod just so the games combat can run higher than 15fps is just unacceptable. Theres no reason this could not have been done when porting.

Ein wundervolles Spiel. Ich kam vorher nie in den Genuss, das Spiel zu spielen, was ich aber geändert habe. Und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Die Story rund um Cecil war sehr interessant und ich bin schon auf das Sequel gespannt. Auch der Spielfluss ist angenehm, man muss nicht allzu viel grinden, fand ich. :)

Not done yet, but the game is great! Coming straight from having played ff3 3D remake, this game introduced so many QoL changes that make the experience so much more enjoyable. I've had mild issues with lag/frame drops, not entirely sure why.

It's just a very solid entry. Exactly what you expect. The graphics have a nice charm to them, and the 3D models can be very expressive during the voiced cutscenes. Combat still has that sense of teamwork and strategy that every RPG needs to keep from getting repetitive. The story is solid even if it's not the strongest in the series. But it's probably a good entry point since every game after this gets a bit more complicated and nuanced. I will say though, my one complaint is performance. I'm not sure why the whole game can't be 60 fps. I understand that the animations were made with 15 or 30 FPS in mind, but the actual movements that complex. It's just a bit jarring when you go to the voiced cutscenes or the summoning moments and suddenly the game feels buttery smooth. BTW, I played this on Steam Deck. It works perfectly for that system.

Needs the Battle FPS fix by Greger in the Steam Guides to make the combat bearable, otherwise it looks jittery and too slow. The initial premise and roughly the first 3rd of the story was very intriguing since classes were now tied to actual characters but I strongly disliked the latter half about Cecil's backstory. Hard mode was fun at least as it provided a challenge outside of mindless grinding (which you still need to do).

At first I was apprehensive as I usually like going for the experience closest to the original- however the cutscenes and voice acting really do add a lot and make the 3D version superior in my opinion.

Un classique meme si la censure est vraiment très désagréable, et la bo ressemble beaucoup plus à l'originale que celle de pixel remaster, qui je trouve sur certains thèmes à de bonne re actualisation, mais est quand meme très loin du compte sur l'ensemble
