The negative reviews are from people who CANNOT cope with life. Yeah, phase 3 of the end boss sequence is too hard, but you can google it in ten seconds and get the right strategy (use charge shots and don't bother dodging). Other than that this is classic Good DLC: a previously-unseen location with new characters, nice voice acting, scenery even more impressive than the main game, and gameplay additions that you'll actually use (same tier as the Far Harbour DLC for Fallout 4, for instance). I loved the places you go and the village you spend time in (and its theme music) and the romantic tension I decided that Clive and Shula had, and I really loved the final side quest wherein life is compared to the cycle of water. Top-notch DLC, fairly long too. Games are here to help us cope with life-- to distract and inspire and awe and let us see things in new ways. Don't let people talk you out of that because of part of a boss fight-- it's just not worth missing out on everything else.

Much better than the first DLC, and the only time in the ENTIRE game where the graphics and visuals actually look good. Seeing The Surge for the first time in the distance and as you get closer and closer is visually amazing. The story is fine, but playing this DLC really makes you realise the whole game could have been so much better than it was, as there's more care put into this DLC than most of the base game and the first DLC. The boss fight against Leviathan is also one of the better Eikon fights too.

Upvoting to get the score in blue, since people where downvoting due to the "difficulty" of The Rising Tide, i was wary getting the DLC with all the people QQing on the last boss, then i did it, and i thought : "oh. it's just another example of "git gud L2P scrub", they just downvote because they suck." so yeah, excellent DLC, beautiful cinematics and finally some challenging bosses.

Pretty good dlc, I think it's around 5 hours of content, there are some additional side quests and the last boss is the hardest that i've fought in the game. 8/10

a choradeira nessas reviews é absurda, o leviatã é dificil, sim, mas porra, se vc passa de "fase" na luta e morre, o jogo te respawna com TODAS as curas, é praticamente impossivel morrer 2x na mesma parte da luta, e na hora de quebrar o tsunami tambem, é só descer o cacete e esquivar igual no resto do jogo base agora sobre a dlc em si, as missoes segundarias seguem o mesmo padrao chato de 1-fala com um npc 2-vá pra um regiao e derrote um bando de inimigos fracos 3-mate um boss em uma area proxima 4-reporte a missao pro npc, repita isso 10 vezes com historias diferentes e bum, vc tem 10 missoes segundaria aparentemente a missao principal tem uma historia bem interessante mas meio incoerente com a missao principal se voce pensar bem sobre ela agora o ponto mais legal é definitivamente o novo eikon, o leviatã é forte pra CACETE, mas ele deixa o combate ainda mais fácil por conta disso, vira um spam de X até o inimigo atordoar e um spam de Y até ele voltar ao normal

This DLC absolutely killed the game for me. The final fight you literally have to be perfect, or you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥..JK, sometimes it will still screw you over and trigger the autoloss even if you do perfect it. I got FF16 and the DLC for 20 bucks. Not worth it. I miss old square when the challenges were actual thought out challenges. Not whatever lazy slop this is.
