Negative reviews for this game are absolutely ridiculous! 80% people crying about the fact that you need xbox account (which is the case for many games these days, including Gears 5 or Halo and Im pretty sure you will need it to play E-Day as well) and the rest is crying that the game gets repetitive. Well what did you expect from turn-based tactical game??? Anyway.... Im gonna keep this review quite simple - do you like Gears of War? And do you like X-COM games? Because this is exactly that. X-COM-like game (more precisely X-COM 2: War of the Chosen) set in Gears of War universe. If you like this combo you should definitely enjoy this just like I do. Visuals are great, works well without any bugs, story is enjoyable, killing grubs is just as fun as in third person shooter counterpart and gameplay works exactly as you would expect from game of this type. Playing on difficulty this game recommended for the first playthrough and it is not difficult at all. So please give this game a chance cause it's hugely underrated!

The fact Zero Company is out now motivated me to come back and leave a review. This is, without a doubt, an *excellent* XCOM esque tactics game. I don't like Gears games, third person cover shooters aren't my thing. The setting is meaningless to me and I have 0 idea who the characters are. I've beaten this game several times, missing only ironman and the grindy achievements. I come back to it every so often and damn. It's so good. Build variety is great, progression through the trees gives meaningful choices of abilities, even if some are more OP than others. Weapons sound chunky, the slide to cover for extra movement feels powerful. It's just.... What if you took XCOM and turned it into a power trip fantasy that still kept up the difficulty? They nailed it. Game looks great. Not beautiful, but great. Characters are expressive on the battlefield and the chunky heroic mini figure style design is excellent. Weapons have fun modifiers and the bosses are challenging and enjoyable. The final boss? Less good. I'd give a kidney for Gears Tactics 2

Нормальный такой тактишн средней прожарки, интересные только сюжетные операции, все остальное постоянный шлак с фармом кейсов, одинаковыми режимами и локациями, доп операции порой несбалансированы и в операции у тебя на двоих солдат куда больше трутней чем на четверых, из за этого приходится долго проходить и без того душную операцию, бумер ваншотает вообще все и под любым углом, много багов, на ходе противника игра может залипнуть в реальном времени не давая тебе ход, логика мобов порой такая, что они через полтора экрана могут стрельнуть в твоего перса который в фуллкавере стоит и ловит ваншот, ты стреляешь с вероятностью 90% 3 раза подряд и промах) чувствую нотки икскома) а когда курсор показывает тебе укрытие а в итоге персонаж встает в полный рост и ловит снайпера ебалом это вообще база. Затащили чисто механики и билдостроение с интересными перками и предметами, и то половина перков на безумной сложности например не играбельны и не имеют смысла, перк на дистанционный подьем тиммейта из нока вообще бессмысленен на безумной, так как ни один персонаж не нокается, а дохнет пермачом) советую брать только по скидке))

playing this after phoenix point it's a simpler game, no base management needed. the core turn based combat is fun and satisfying. i don't think it's a spoiler, but you can't bring your custom characters in the final fight, which sucks otherwise, esay recommend.

Gears Tactics is an excellent turn-based strategy game and a great adaptation of the Gears universe. The cover system, executions, classes, abilities, and weapon customization make the combat incredibly satisfying and addictive. However, one major thing is missing: a proper New Game+ mode. After investing so much time into developing your characters and gear, you should be able to replay the campaign with your fully upgraded team. I strongly hope the developers consider releasing a DLC with a new campaign, new enemies, new gear, and a true New Game+ mode. Gears Tactics has so much potential, especially on Steam Deck and other platforms. Please give us more Gears Tactics! 🔥

I don't get why this game is getting so much hate. It's just like XCOM. Some missions can be frustrating but once to loose it you can just replay it. Which is a lot more forgiving than XCOM. I would give it a out a 7 or 8 out of 10.

先说结论，食之无味，弃之可惜。真的玩的太难受了。真给玩成战旗模拟器了，只有战旗，没有别的内容了。作为一款战旗，底子真的很不错，框架搭建的已经非常完整了，为什么内容质量这块不去填充呢？ 真的很不想打差评，但是真的很难不打差评。真的很难推荐别人去玩这款游戏。这个游戏只有前8个小时是可玩的，后面完全是无聊的重复内容。说是坐牢也不完全是，但是无聊是真无聊。而且明明这么有设计，我觉得完全可以出一个自定义PVP或者PVE，这么好的底子不好好开发，添加内容真的太可惜了。虽然是给gears5铺路，但是真的让人意难平。太缺乏深度和创意拓展了，好不容易有个大制作组来做战旗，结果却是这样的结果，真的令人叹惋。还有就是这弱智剧情和逆天LGBT，没眼看，只能全程戴头盔。游戏后期内容同质化太严重了！真的就是好游戏，但是烂游戏。哎，意难平，多好的底子就这样被浪费了。还有一个很大的问题，就是神人堆怪，怪物跟不要钱一样往里面堆一堆怪，抛弃大脑的设计，真的很烂。
