Game can be fun, but they did the thing where the base game is completely starved of content, and the DLC's are overpriced and should've just been free additions to the game. Also there is a pitifully small amount of units for each faction as compared to their tabletop counterparts. All of these things combined to create what they try to portray as a digital version of the tabletop, while charging you a ton of extra money simply to unlock the pitifully small unit rosters of other factions that should've been included without any additional charges. You're paying $15 each for a new faction that has like 10 units if you're lucky. These DLC's should be $5 not $15.

I’m a sucker for pretty much any RTS — whether it’s turn-based or real-time — as long as it has a campaign and a story. I honestly don’t ask for much. I’ve played RTS campaigns where the story has been absolutely terrible and still enjoyed them, so the bar is not exactly sky high. This one is pretty good though. The story is decent, the combat is fun, and there’s enough tinkering around with your units and upgrades to keep me happy. I like games where I can fiddle with things, build people up, tweak squads, all that sort of stuff, and there’s enough of that here that I really enjoyed it. I’ve finished the main campaign. I haven’t played the Conquest-style DLC mode, but I imagine that’s probably pretty fun as well. Overall, my experience with it was really good. I think it captures the feel of the 40K units really well, and from what I can tell it’s reasonably close in spirit to the tabletop game too. If you like these kinds of tactical/strategy games and you like Warhammer 40,000, then I’d say this is basically a 100% buy. Even if you’re not especially familiar with 40K, it’s still a great game and definitely worth looking into. The only caveat I’d give is that I think you probably need to either really like 40K or already like this type of game. If you mostly play action RPGs or shooters and you’ve never really touched tactical strategy before, there are probably more beginner-friendly games you could use as an entry point. But if this is already your sort of thing, then yes — absolutely worth it.

I love Battlesector, it's a very satisfying strategy game, with lots of factions and units to play as or against. Lots of game modes with adjustable settings to vary the experience each time which give it replayability, DLC costs are reasonable, and i'm pleased it's still being added to after all these years. I really REALLY wish the Eldar were in it, but when do I ever get what I want...

Revived my enjoyment of turn based strategy games that I used to enjoy like Advanced wars and Final fantasy tactics. Combat is nice and crunchy and the overwatch system is satisfying and the game is still recieving updates and some extra content. Only real complaint is the extra factions are expensive to buy

Okay, I'm no good at Warhammer. That's what Games Workshop's (licensed) video games keep telling me, at least. If you're good, or just enjoy losing, knock yourself out and buy this game.

Fun turn-based strategy. Accuracy per the cover and terrain system is a bit wonky, but the gameplay is fun once you overlook the slow processing of the enemy AI's turn.

Great strategy game, beautiful models, and it really captures that tabletop Warhammer feeling. Feels surprisingly close to moving miniatures around the board, just with fewer arguments about the rules.

Never played the tabletop, but this feels like it (to me). Some QoL missing, like quicksave and rebind but it works fine. Deeds of the Fallen is a good DLC, only one which gives you another campaign to the base game.
