Kingdoms of Amalur has some of the strongest fantasy vibes I have experienced outside of World of Warcraft. The forests feel dense and overgrown, with enormous trees towering above you. The wastelands are not actually that large, but the rock formations and distant views make them feel much bigger. Its villages and cities also capture that medieval-fantasy atmosphere very well. I played on casual difficulty and focused only on the main quest. I realised quite early that if I tried to complete all the side quests and DLC, I probably would not finish the game at all. The story itself never really grabbed me, but I enjoyed experimenting with the different weapons and unlocking new moves and abilities. The combat can be frustrating, though. Dodge animations take long enough that avoiding certain attacks feels impossible, and sometimes one hit leads to being stunlocked by several more. Despite its flaws, I still recommend Kingdoms of Amalur for its world and atmosphere. If you are looking for a game filled with strong fantasy vibes, play on casual difficulty and it delivers.

Kingdoms of Amalur is the comfort food of RPGs Before getting into it, the use of the "Ramping Speed" mod is HEAVILY RECOMMENDED. This is an enormous game with vast amounts of backtracking. This mod remedies that. I've tried getting into this game a couple of times before but the remaster just about sealed the deal with its extended camera controls. The beautiful world you explore, the timeless WoW aesthetic, the somewhat shallow but fun combat system, the simplicity of the quest system and the sheer amount of content. This is not a game for everyone and it can be an absolute jankfest at times. It is riddled with bugs, softlocks and general design issues but god dang it, it makes you FEEL like you are on this amazing journey. An ADVENTURE. Due to the nature of the plot there is no urgency. Sure there is a war going on but it has been going on for 10 years, it can wait a little longer while you help this village with their little ancient unkillable witch problem. The build variety and combat is another very strong suit of the game. Not only are you free to respec whenever you want to, trying out all the builds. A tank, a fast rogue, a teleporting wizard or anything in between, on top of that there's 3-4 different weapons for each class. All with their own movesets. You can mix and match to your heart's content. The combat is more akin to an action game, all complete with your dodges, parries and enemy movesets to match. The combat might be repetitive but it's fun, the writing can be basic but every named NPC is (mostly) well voice acted, the plot is your typical hero's journey but the lore unique enough, the quests might be simple but sometimes you just don't need anything more than that. The tone of the game is mostly self aware which helps elevate it's strong suits. This will not rock your world but if you know what you are getting into, it can be a good time. This is a long time coming! This is my all-time favorite game. Like, I beat it 2 times when it came out. This is my 4th time playing it. And I followed it all through the Rhode Island chaos and court system lockup for years. Now I get to play it again with everything unlocked! I only wish we got a second installment, an MMORPG like Copernicus was going to be. This world is stunning, fascinating, intelligent, and fun. There's great storyline with ample side quests and you can have houses that are upgradable in most every region. The gameplay is super fun with multiple abilities, weapons, and styles with the addition of a supercharge effect which increases experience gained during fights. Plus, that same supercharge ability has a cool af story behind it - you are unraveling the fates of other creatures around you. You don't have to limit yourself when it comes to classes! You have the ability to be everything or two of your choice. That add enjoyment to the game and freedom to expand how you want without the restrictions of most games. If you enjoyed Fable and you enjoyed Elder Scrolls - this is an excellent mashup of both plus beautiful graphics that aren't grey-greenwashed like Elder Scrolls. Pros: -easy controls and gameplay for fluidity (I play with an Xbox controller) -challenging enough to be fun but easy enough to beat (1. It's def not a Souls-like game, 2. But you can raise the difficulty level if you like) -lots of regions on the map to explore -lots of side quests -intriguing and enjoyable main quest -it's been remastered so there's a slight upgrade from an already awesome game -everything is unlocked here, you don't have to buy more to play more maps -open class abilities -multiple weapon use (I can easily switch between my two main weapons and also use magic combined) -lots of gooping/looting for us loot goblins (even has hidden treasure on the map that you see more of as you unlock that ability) -ability to make anything you want (potions, epic weapons, gems in weapons, etc.) -very customizable avatar and ability to change your avatar when you want to -lots of gameplay that doesn't feel like grinding -there's probably more but just play the fckng game! lol you'll love it if you've gotten this far in my review Cons: -it is a bit older now... it's still a damn good game though -it never got the marketing it deserved so not many people have heard of it (it bankrupt the state of Rhode Island though... so it never got there) -That's about fckn it! But that's why it's my favorite game lol I hope the new owners of the game see this. Thanks for rescuing the game. I whole-heartedly appreciate it! Can we please have more now lol?? It's amazing and needs to be continued.

มันคือ The Elder Scrolls Online ชัดๆเลย ระบบดีเหมือนกันเลย ชอบมากๆ และ NPC ในเกมนี้ทำออกมาได้หน้าตาดีมากๆ โดยเฉพาะสาวๆ บอกเลยว่าสยเลยแหละ เนื้อเรื่องในเกมมีความลุ่มลึก ไม่จิดชืด โดยรวมสนุกมากครับ // ความเห็น ณ วันนี้ ยังเล่นไม่จบ แต่จะเล่นให้จบทั้งภาคหลัก และภาคเสริมที่แถมมาให้

Played the game a good while, tried out the available weapons, did a ton of quests. Problem is every single quest is a fetch quest or kill a few mobs. Eventually, I stopped reading the dialogue because it was all so pointless and boring that I missed parts of the story, I think, when I returned to the main story. Combine that with quest-breaking bugs, crashes, and overall poor performance, and this just isn't it.

Ce jeu représente mon enfance. Je l'adore encore et toujours aujourd'hui, et j'aurais aimé retrouver dans d'autres jeux ce sentiment étrange d'émerveillement et de sérénité quand j'y joue, ses couleurs et ses musiques, ses quêtes décalées et ses DLCs fabuleux.
