MySims is a cute little game, personally nostalgic for myself as I played this one as a kid. Does it hold up? Eh, mostly. The game is repetitive, which is very good for a little kid who needs a game to play and where everything feels fun, but as an adult this causes some annoyances as you can FEEL the tediousness in everything. The characters are cute and fun, it is nice to get a bunch of people into the town that you want to be there and make it essentially what you want. I think it is disappointing that only commercial sims give you quests, but hey, it is a remaster of a hold game so what can you expect. Do I think this is a solid game? For sure. Do I think it is worth $40? No, not even as part of the bundle. If you can get this one on sale then it is a fun little romp in the MySims world.

Didn't play this game as a child, but still enjoyed it as an adult. It's a no-pressure object building simulator with light social mechanics and occasionally interacting with objects in the world to get resources to make more stuff. Definitely more on the casual side of games, but still a lot of fun! Also, a couple of extra things were added onto the release that were not in the original, which is genuinely nice to see in a remaster. That, and an EA game that doesn't have DRM, though the need for a EULA is confusing I'm just happy I don't have to install a bunch of other crap just to play this game. Recommended if you're looking for something light and casual, or just want to see more content in an already fun older game.

I bought this strictly for nostalgic value. Did I love it? Yes. Am I mad I bought it and don't have enough self control? You betcha. Overpriced, even for $20 when it's on sale. It isn't doing anything special that a new game can't do. Don't be like me, support someone not EA.

My inner child is SO happy right now. MySims is pure cozy nostalgia. There’s something about running around this adorable little world, meeting all the goofy characters, building things and slowly making the town feel like your own that just makes my brain happy. It’s one of those games where I tell myself I’m going to play for a little bit and suddenly I’ve spent hours collecting things, decorating, building furniture and helping some random Sim with their problems. And honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way. Everything is so colorful and cute, and I love that I don’t have to take anything too seriously. I can just put on some music, grab a cozy drink and disappear into my tiny little Sim world for a while. There’s also something really special about coming back to a game that has such a nostalgic feeling and realizing it’s STILL adorable. If you love cozy games, decorating, building, collecting things or you grew up with MySims, this is basically a warm little nostalgia hug in game form. 10/10 — came for the nostalgia, stayed because apparently decorating tiny fictional houses is more important than anything I was supposed to accomplish today.
