The game where you are a ball, thats it, thats the protagonist, a sphere, peak character design NightSky is a physics puzzle game where you roll a ball through these silhouette style levels with that classic late 2000s indie aesthetic, dark foreground, moody gradient skies, ambient soundtrack, the whole liminal before liminal was a word normies knew, If you were around for that era of indie games you know exactly what this looks like The gameplay keeps it fresh with gimmicks, sometimes the ball rolls normal, sometimes it has no friction and slides like a drunk on ice, sometimes gravity flips, sometimes you are controlling vehicles or other contraptions instead, some levels are chill vibes, others are genuinely tricky and will have you retrying a jump many times while the relaxing soundtrack mocks you, and thats the weird duality of this game, it's somehow frustrating and relaxing at the same time, rage, but make it ambient. I've never been so calm while wanting to throw my control It's a perfect time killer, free afternoons, long trips, or working from home where the only thing you are producing is steam playtime Your boss thinks you are in a spreadsheet, you are rolling a ball through a sunset (who's really winning here) 7/10, I'd play with these balls again, some of the best balls I've ever touched, honestly

It's been a while since I actually played through this, but I remember it fondly. It's not a groundbreaking game by any means, but it does what it does (Physics Puzzle Platforming as a marble) well and has a relaxing/melancholic atmosphere. Probably fantastic if you have a Deck and need something relaxing to play on your train home from work.

kind of an annoying word in gaming as of late, but this game is incredibly cozy. the puzzles aren't very hard so you have some mental bandwidth to spare to take in the art and music, each spectacular in their own rights. 2011, so it feels a bit like a flash game, but one of the top tier ones you would just replay on a break or something just to experience it again. it also has the length of one, with the game probably taking two hours tops if you aren't trying to do slick tricks (there are a lot of spots to do them, I got a lot of fun out of probably unintended clear methods). i don't think it's worth $10, but checking steamDB the game has gone on sale to $0.99 during every major steam sale in the past year (i.e. once per season) so get it for that

Not my cup of tea. Might be a good game for people who like frustrating puzzles. You roll a marble in a two D world, trying to move off the right side of the screen. Sometimes you gain abilities, sometimes you lose them. Seems pretty. Keyboard only, FYI. No thumbs down, a total meh for me.

Сначала - да, вроде красивая игрушка, приятные звуки, головоломки какие-то, ну вот посидеть пару часов позалипать. ПОТОМ это становится невыносимым насилием над кнопками, кучей попыток просто совладать с неудобным управлением, короткими таймингами, головоломки уходят на второй план, вся сложность начинает заключаться только в душноте геймплея; а графика, на самом деле, выглядит скорее сыро, чем минималистично. Но цвета приятные, все же просто трата времени
