For my first open world puzzle game Quern is really good although getting lost here is the norm, the hint for the item are useful but they aren't enough sometime, and some point later where u have a lot of things u will forget that u have an item to help the puzzle The puzzle itself is good, nothing too crazy for it, there is a lot of context and visual clue that help with it too Also an important note DEV REALLY NEED TO ADD EPILEPSY WARNING FOR GREEN CRYSTAL TELEPORT, I got flashed like crazy and have to close my eyes every time i use it, i try to go through the option to see if there anyway to tone it down but there isn't. 100% achievement collected as of 29/08/2026

Real brain teaser.. the puzzles get really tricky and you definitely need a pen and paper and a lot of patience. No hints button but you are given some clues if you pay attention to the right things. I enjoyed it.

This is not a good puzzle game. It starts quite strong, but over time it relies more and more not on actual puzzle solving skill (ie: working with the information you have to find a solution) but more about separating the pieces of information so that the solution is obvious, but simply a pain in the ass to construct. It will also simply give you items and expect you to remember exactly where to backtrack in order to continue, while also disallowing you from placing markers on the map (either custom or pre-made). This game is for the most part not a puzzle game, but a memorization game with the occasional block-sliding puzzle (or similar) as a garnish. Both of these together make the game simply exhausting. I'm constantly having to remember exacting minutiae of where and how things are placed, made to run all around the island over and over again, occasionally getting to "solve" a puzzle by finding all the pieces and being made to put them together in the most annoying way possible. I have two relatively easy recommendations to make this game a lot more fun 1: Let the player to draw on their map. If we're supposed to feel like people discovering a place, let us draw on our maps! 2: Allow the player to hold either a letter or their notebook in one hand while still moving around in the game world

Jeux buggés ; je vous conseille de tourner avec 3 sauvegardes. La ma sauvergarde est figée sur un écran dans la place souterraine. Après 29 heures de jeu, je ne recommence pas une partie ... donc désinstallation et je passe à autre chose.

Quern is a well made Myst-like that doesn't quite hit the heights of the games it's inspired by, but will definitely satisfy players looking for more of the same. The puzzles are mostly well designed and never too obtuse, although some things are easy to miss if you're not observant. The story is good, if slightly derivative of Myst in terms of its world-building. 7/10

The story is good and the graphics are good. It's a solid puzzle game. If you get stuck on a couple of the puzzles, just look it up on some of the guides on steam or just use you tube like I did.
