Отличное дополнение к одной из любимых игр! Простая, но действительно интересная детективная история, не перегруженная персонажами и лишними деталями. Со всеми сайдквестами проходится часов за 8. The Outer Worlds Spacer’s Choice Edition launches on May 27th. If you already own the base game you’ll get the new edition for free, for new players it’s priced at $39.99, so definitely don’t miss the deal, this game was my GOTY in 2022. I think you don’t need to own any of the DLCs, only the base game is required and Spacer’s Choice Edition includes all content. That said, if you play it do not skip this fantastic Murder on Eridanos DLC. It’s a full, substantial story expansion with a gripping narrative, tons of gameplay choices and excellent voice acting. It blends detective, exploration and conspiracy stories. It’s been 4 years since I last played it and I still vividly remember that gorgeous vodka bar lined with rainbow neon bottles, I’m sure it will look even more stunning in the remastered edition. Отличное дополнение с интересной детективной историей, вайбами старой фантастики типа "Факультета" и одновременно глупым и клевым сюжетным твистом. Плюс несколько крутых уникальных пушек, новые противники, неплохие персонажи и возможность в полной мере использовать свои разговорные и научные навыки. Именно поэтому советую DLC проходить ближе к концу основной сюжетки, когда прокачка уже позволит проходить проверки на 80+.

I'd say it is a disappointment on all fronts. It's not bad, but its not good either. if you want more of the same as the base game, you got it here. Maybe. Just another map to explore. But the DLC markets itself as a murder mystery. And I think it fails on that front for the simple reason that your investigation doesn't really matter. Most of the clues mean nothing, a lot of them are just lore. None of the suspects end up being the murderer you are hired to look for. Throughout I was questioning myself, none of these people seem like the murderer, have I missed something? I MUST have missed something, right? No, the answer is scripted, you can't really find out who the murderer is through the investigation. You are just told once you run out of suspects, that it was the guy who hired you. EXPECTATIONS SUBVERTED!!!1 I would've preferred to not get it right and blame the wrong person over what I got. Worst part is that none of the suspects even have any "MAYBE this person did it" evidence. If you follow every quest marker, you have no doubt that they are all innocent. And there wasn't really any interesting, morally gray "no right answer" decisions to make. There are 2 endings and you just select "good" or "bad" near the end. Outside of the story, the locations are alright. It's one new big-ish map. 3 new pointless science weapons that do no damaage, a bunch of "uniques", but no actual new content for the base game. No new mods, no new armor or weapon models. It's a story content island, quite literally. Given that the story is not that good in my opinion, I cannot recommend this.

The idea is solid and the new locations are actually really well designed. The problem is the analyzer gun or whatever it's called that leads to a potential mystery plot just being a walk from clue to clue quest. Still recommended because it is a decent story and setting, it just could have been implemented way better.

fun game buttttt they removed this and all the DLC form the steam store so now your forced to buy The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition missing only 1 dlc? to bad buy the full game again if you want to cause thats the only way now

Personally, I liked more the Gorgon DLC (for the story), but I understand why other people would favor this one, as it introduces a bigger and vastly more varied location, more characters to talk to (and to see them mentioned in the final narration, after the main Tartarus mission), more (wacky) weapons and more reactions from party members. The trailer (which is great, btw, go see it) features the Discrepancy Amplifier other reviewers mentioned, and it is true that (for better or worse) it makes your job of finding main quest clues too easy. But there are enough secondary quests and world-building bits to find on your own. I took me way longer than 8 hours other players mentioned, but I'm an explorer, not a rusher, and there was enough world building here to keep me interested
