Fantastic game with rich story expected from Witcher universe combined with fun gameplay. One big problem that I have with the game is that choices you make trough out the game don't feel that meaningful. They could have been done better for far more engaging player experience. 8.8/10 P.S. I wish that they give us WSAD support.

Preparing for yet another gameplay - I love the game for the story and various choices (GWENT is nice too, but the story and the characters are what kept me hooked for several gameplays!)

Comprei na consideração, foi um dos games mais marcantes pra mim. Mesmo com vários finais e ramificações a se explorar, eu não quis fazer isso. Quis manter intacto todo o valor e significado de quando zerei pela primeira vez. Agradeço profundamente a obra dos livros e a empresa de jogos, suas mídia me fizeram um ser humano melhor.

★★★★⯪ ✦ 𝟒,𝟓/𝟓 ✦ I came for The Witcher. I stayed for the Queen. ༺━━━━━━━━━━✦━━━━━━━━━━༻ ✦ What a pleasant surprise ✦ ◆ Thronebreaker was a massive positive surprise for me. After Rogue Mage completely failed to grab my attention, I expected to bounce off this game too. Instead, it absolutely captivated me and pulled me in from beginning to end. ◆ I'm not a fan of card games, but I genuinely enjoyed playing through this one. The story is incredibly engaging, full of twists, difficult choices and situations where there rarely seems to be an obviously good answer. ༺━━━━━━━━━━✦━━━━━━━━━━༻ ✦ A different side of the Witcher world ✦ ◆ The story is told from the perspective of Queen Meve, ruler of Lyria and Rivia, during the Second Northern War with Nilfgaard. It's a fantastic period to explore, especially for anyone familiar with Sapkowski's books. ◆ While Geralt is busy marching south and dealing with his own problems, we're fighting to keep our kingdom alive. It's a brilliant narrative idea that makes Thronebreaker feel genuinely different from the other Witcher games. Instead of following the familiar characters, we get to see the war from the perspective of someone who actually has a kingdom to lose. ◆ The hand-drawn art style is also beautiful. The static story scenes won't necessarily appeal to everyone, but I personally think they fit the game's presentation really well. ༺━━━━━━━━━━✦━━━━━━━━━━༻ ✦ A few cards missing from the deck ✦ ◆ My biggest problem is that the game is just a little too long. The battles towards the end start becoming rather tiring, and the puzzles, which initially provide a nice change of pace, eventually become more frustrating than enjoyable. Their constantly changing rules can be quite a headache. ◆ The lack of manual saving is also an unfortunate decision. And then there's one particular story element that bothered me the most. Without getting into spoilers, the betrayal trope is used far too often. ༺═──────────────═༻ ✦ Thronebreaker completely changed my expectations. I went into it expecting another card game I wouldn't enjoy and ended up getting one of the more interesting stories in the Witcher universe. The excellent writing, difficult choices, book-era setting and beautiful presentation make it a fantastic experience, even if the game overstays its welcome a little towards the end. If you're a fan of The Witcher and care more about a great story than the fact that the game is built around cards, Thronebreaker is absolutely worth giving a chance. Great card-style RPG! It is indeed like Gwent, not identical, but I think this version is better suited for this style of game. Simple Witcher 3 Gwent would be incredibly repetitive and not very fun. This version of Gwent is more dynamic and interesting. There are more mechanics and strategies to think about. The puzzles are well thought out. I only wish there were more deck variety. As it's clear, there are a handful of cards that are better than the rest. Although for certain fights, I did find myself having to completely tailor a deck for that specific fight. It would have been cool to have deck presets saved, since I have a main deck I run with.

If you like Gwent or tactical card games, this is a really good game. But even if you don't, it's more like a puzzle game with an extremely good story, interesting characters and choices, and a beautiful art style. I had a lot of fun during those 30 hours.
