After all these years, Ubisoft finally decided to release this game on Steam! Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow is the second game in the franchise and a very famous title in the stealth-action genre. It still plays quite well even today, although some elements can feel a bit clunky. If you want the best classic Splinter Cell gameplay, you should go for Chaos Theory. But as a true fan of Sam Fisher and Michael Ironside, I played all the Splinter Cell games myself, and I encourage you to do the same. They are all now available on Steam, so you can finally play through the entire series in chronological order. And it's nice to see Ubisoft adding this game to the Steam library, as we can now finally experience the second title in the Splinter Cell saga. And there is also a remake of the very first Splinter Cell game planned for release in 2027!

loved the game back in the days, so got it on steam and it wont even let me start it up, black screen with music and second monitor flicker as if tapping in and out nonstop. totally unplayable experience.

I love this series but this game just...isn't technically in a good state. No widescreen support out of the box, weird stuttery low fps etc. The most egregious problem is the enemy AI behavior which appears broken. Enemies seem to manage to trip the alarm within milliseconds of spotting you, in game they make a call to say they've spotted you, but in a lot of the missions they trip the alarm without even making a sound sometimes. Enemies can also spot you taking their friend out in complete darkness from the opposite side of the room and raise the alarm level before they even lift up their gun at you, absolutely ridiculous. Also, if the enemy spots you when you are trying to grab them from behind, they will instantly trip the alarm too, making any sneaking attempts pretty much impossible as you are almost guaranteed to be spotted before you get close enough to grab or melee the guard. It doesn't appear to be intended behavior because when they spot a corpse they can actually make a part of the alarm radio transmission without tripping the alarm, so what gives? Overall, it feels broken and the brokenness makes this very frustrating to play because there are multiple situations where dealing with just a single guard is really difficult.

The second of the Splinter Cell game series. The game is a marked improvement over the first game and a real gem of a game. The port however, is very bad. Just like the first game in the series.

Cela faisait longtemps que je n'y avais pas joué, et il fait toujours partie de mes jeux préférés, tout comme le 1er. Cela dit, c'est peut-être celui de la licence que j'ai le moins apprécié, même s'il reste très bon (mais je n'ai pas encore fait Blacklist).

Better mechanics than the first game and some cool missions. My biggest issue in this game is the lighting is just not accurate. Sometimes you can stand completely in the dark and somehow there is still a light source showing on you. I'm not sure if that is just a rendering issue or the age of the game but outside that, the game is generally fun. I don't think I enjoyed it more than the first game but as a continuation of the story, it is pretty good. Unfortunately, like the first game, this one limits you a lot on what you can do as far as mission objectives are concerned. You basically have to complete them the way the devs intended as there are very few times you can really make your own choices or paths through the linear levels, so there is a lot of trial and error.

While it doesn't expand very much on the mechanics of the original, Pandora Tomorrow is still a very enjoyable experience, with some pretty tight stealth encounters. This steam release, however, is not very good, and requires patching to run smoothly and with a controller.
